Colt's Kickin' Coop is still under renovation and, as always, it's a race against the weather. It's also super hard to work with 60 birds underfoot! They free range around the yard and will greet Colt halfway between the house and coop and then follow him everywhere he goes!
**He went to the feed shed first to get them out of his way because they'll follow him like this when he's trying to do chores or carpentry too. Crazy birds! **

Hi friends! It's been a long time since we've posted anything about the Colt and his Kickin' Coop! (Life is busy over here with 5 guys playing on several ball teams each!)
Colt's summer has been filled with dirt biking, time spent with friends and brothers, the Vermilion parade/fair/chicken show, U14 provincial and western Canadian fastball GOLD medals (🎉), and Kickin' Coop renovations! Tomorrow it's off to 4-H camp and the chores are left to Mom and Dad. 😬. What a great summer it's been so far!

Tonight Colt, AKA Young Horse, is on his way home from a weekend of cowboy action shooting! He has 16 dozen eggs available for delivery any night this week. We will squeeze in a few deliveries each afternoon before supper. $4/dozen and $6/18 pack.

Today was the Irma Tigers annual visit to the Jackson farm and Colt's Kickin' Coop. I wonder what Irma's bylaws are regarding owning chickens in town?!! (Lol. And I don't have a single picture of the kids playing 3 games of ball! 😬).
