The Found Festival is a site-specific smorgasbord exhibiting explosive, and dynamic new works in a variety of unconventional spaces. In 2012, we featured over 40 artists, and brought in audiences from all over the city to experience the first-ever-event of its kind in Edmonton.
June 29- July 1, 2012 - The Inaugural Found Festival! 8 Performances over 3 days. The first festival of its kind in Edmonton!
FoundRaiser
2012 - At Wunderbar we hosted the Foundraiser. A musical mashup of great local talent curated by Craig Martel
2013 - at Avenue Theatre we hosted the Edmonton Show ReFound. Over 50 artists from all genres in Edmonton graced the Avenue stage for a one night extravaganza.
2014 - We transformed the Pique Dance Centre into a Visual Art Gallery and showcased previews of 2014 Found Festival projects.

NEWS
September 3, 2014 - Annual General Meeting - Newly elected Board of Directors expanded to 8(largest number yet! ) and co-founder of Common Ground, Patrick Lundeen is the newly elected Executive Director for 2014 /2015 season.
June 26 - 29 - Found Festival 2014 takes over Old Strathcona. Largest audience turn out yet!
May 2 - The FoundRaiser is back at the Pique Dance Centre
3rd Annual Found Festival - Scheduled for June 26-29. Taking place at various locations in Old Strathcona.
June 27-30 - Found Festival 2013 in the Old Strathcona district ( various locations). Show information and schedule available on website (www.commongroundarts. ca)
April 11, 2013 - The Edmonton Show ReFOUND - Avenue Theatre at 7pm. A multi-disciplinary emerging artist celebration and fundraiser for the 2013 Found Festival.
February, 2013 - Hosted a site-specific creation workshop led by Mark Hopkins and Charles Netto, co-artistic directors of Swallow-A-Bicycle Theatre from Calgary. The workshop was made possible by Theatre Alberta and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.
Nov 4, 2012: Call for Submissions for Found Festival 2013!
June 29-July 1, 2012: The inaugural Found Festival took place in the Old Strathcona District. Featuring 40 + artists in 9 different venues.
Sunday May 6, 2012: Wunderbar celebrated their 2nd birthday and had the proceeds go towards CGAS's Found Festival. The beginning of a beautiful partnership. Keep your eyes peeled for more Wunderbar "foundling" events to come. Under 2 months to Found Festival.
Friday, March 9, 2012: After undergoing a major personnel shift, in terms of our management team as well as many of our Board Members, we are hard at work to lay the groundwork for our next SUPERSECRET major event, happening June 29-July 1, 2012.
