On March 10th, Commonwealth Centre hosted this wonderful gala for the Janus Academy for the 9th year. The theme was Wizard of Oz. The event raised much needed funds for the Janus Academy which is the school for children with autism. The dedication from parents, teachers and suppliers for this event is unbelievable. The great vendors we worked with are: Vida Events, and PK Sound

On May 13th, 2017 Commonwealth Centre hosted the AB College & Association of Chiropractor's Centennial. The event was a great success in celebrating 100 years of chiropractors in Alberta. Alberta College and Association of Chiropractors

Commonwealth Centre had the pleasure of hosting Dr Pawan Agrawal and the EO Calgary for an event. It was a fascinating presentation on the Dabbawala's of India and their efficient lunch delivery system to 200,000 people per day.
The room looked tremendous with the with the sound and lighting being provided by RASA AV (House of Bounce).

On International Women's Day we wanted to remember the accomplishments of the 1923 Women's basketball team, the Edmonton Grads. The most successful sports team in Canadian history. They were North American and World Champs. Historica Canada just released a new Heritage Minute video. Commonwealth Centre is proud to have been a part of this as the location for this Heritage Minute.

Commonwealth Centre hosted an event for JTI in fall 2016. They even brought the camel! Delicious food stations and prizes.

Commonwealth Centre March Recap: In March the events season started to get into the swing of things. More conferences, galas, fundraisers and weddings were happening around the city.
During this month we hosted the Janus Academy Spring Gala which was a plated dinner for 650 guests. A few days later we had the Junior Achievements of Southern Alberta put on a great event for over 700 bright and business-minded high school students. The Calgary Police held a 150 member conference and the SML Entertainment Pool Tournament kicked off which runs through April.

Commonwealth Centre has just launched their new website. The site was designed to make it easy for clients to find facility information, menu pricing and contacting us. Business in Calgary Awards Gala - June 25th, 2015

We have hosted our event at the Commonwealth for the past 8 years now and we couldn't be happier... great venue, AMAZING food, and excellent service!

Vik and his staff made our Pawan Agrawal speaking event absolutely first rate. The setup was classy and the food was delicious. We complicated the event at the last minute by asking the Commonwealth servers to distribute Dabbawalla caps and tiffins to everyone in attendance at a particular point in Dr. Agrawal's speech. They never missed a beat. Everything went over perfectly. We'll definitely book there again.

I have hosted several graduation receptions at the Commonwealth Hall. I cannot say enough about the service or the food. What a wonderful event space. I would recommend this location to EVERYONE! They are so wonderful and accommodating. We have upwards of 600 guest at our events and do a sit down plated dinner. I am always so shocked at how they manage to keep the delusions food they make hot while serving that many people, not only that, they pay amazing attention to detail with all of our food restrictions and/or needs. I am so thankful I found this space for our graduations.

I had a great experience here. The food was exceptional, and the staff very accommodating. I appreciate Vikram, and all the hard work he puts into making this place a great place for hosting events.

Commonwealth Centre hosted a large event for us and did a fabulous job. The decor set the mood and made the room feel intimate and elegant. The food was truly top notch. We left most of the menu planning to the chefs and they came up with a creative and beautifully presented 3 course meal. We had complicate AV requirements and it all went smoothly. I wouldn't hesitate to book my next event with the team at Commonwealth. Best value in Calgary!
