Consulate-General Of Japan

My bf went to Consulate General of Japan in Calgary to inquire and asked a simple question but no one can help him. Instead, gave him a number to call and when someone answered the phone they asked him to call the Japanese Immigration in Japan. I tried to called the # but its always busy. :(

My first time to the Embassy went well. Everyone was polite and helpful. I had no issues and will be back in a week to pickup my paperwork.

Although the staff are very busy helping many people they take the time to answer all your questions and make sure that you have a very clear understanding of the process and how everything needs to be done. There are some questions they wont be able to answer, in which case it is best to contact the Japanese Immigration centre in Tokyo. Ask for an English speaker and you will have no problems!

服务不怎么样

Attempted to ask a very simple question. The person I dealt with was RUDE and clearly did not understand what he was doing. He contradicted himself several times. When I pointed this out he said that he did not have to speak to Canadians. This consulate gives Japan a bad name. Try to deal with any other consulate ie. Vancouver, it is just this one person in Calgary.

No words can describe how disappointed I am at this place.
