Contempa Carpet Company is a family-owned business that has been providing award-winning service to retail clients, designers, and Calgary’s leading home builders and renovators for over 40 years.

We were founded by John Herbst and Horst Huber, who started out in a small office a few blocks away from our current location. Over the next 30 years, they earned an outstanding reputation for having the finest selection of floor covering products, for providing exceptional service, and for caring about their customers.

John and Horst have since retired and leave loyal staff and family members to manage the business. We continue the tradition of building satisfying, long-term relationships with our customers and suppliers … and, of course, living up to our reputation!
