Deborah Green, is a proud Cree Woman from the Kawacatoose 1st Nation in Saskatchewan. Deborah became inspired to pursue her career in diversity being an Indigenous woman experiencing the barriers to mainstream society in her life in areas such as equal opportunity employment, career development, society, and cultural differences. This motivated her to ensure her career helped Indigenous people become successful and pursue their dream careers, embrace education, and eliminate barriers.

During her tenure at an oil and gas company, she developed her diversity role which was the first full time resource globally that was dedicated to Diversity & Employment. She developed and implemented innovative sourcing /recruitment strategies, Optimized External Brand reputation to establish marketplace presence. She engaged internal and external stakeholders /networks to promote the company as an equal opportunity employer of choice. She was also the preferred "go to" person between recruitment, business departments, and HR community to ensure focused alignments on diversity.

Deborah is very proud that she grew and led the first Indigenous employee network within an oil company in Canada from 2007 to 2014.

After the downturn in the economy, Deborah decided to venture into her own consulting business so she could offer more broad services in diversity that are customized to fit the unique needs of her clients. She wanted to ensure corporations along with non-profits, government, educational institutes, and Communities had fair access to have their diversity needs met to enhance their business and the future generations of diverse youth in education.
