In these cold temperatures it can feel next to impossible to warm your body and muscles up before play. Luckily, Parents has a great routine to get you warmed up for any activity! Here we go:
Using chalk or fitness cones, mark off a distance of about 20 feet. Call out the following movements and have your child do each one for the length of the marked-off space: walk, skip, walk while waving arms in the air from side to side; skip while waving arms; jump and land with bent kn...ees. After five or six minutes of movements, they can go on to these simple stretches.
Have your child extend their arms and place their palms against a wall or similar upright support.
Calf stretch: Have them place one foot near the wall, then extend their other leg back, foot flat, until they feel a stretch in their calf.
Ankle stretch: Have them place one leg about a foot behind the other, then bend both knees slightly until they feel a stretch in their ankle.
They should hold each stretch for 30 seconds on each leg, then repeat once or twice.

Face and head injuries, ankle and wrist sprains and strains, broken fingers, cuts, broken bones... there are many ways that our kids can get hurt in sports. BUT if they are wearing the proper equipment the odds of them getting seriously injured are drastically reduced! Helmets, pads, wrist guards, mouth guards... all important pieces of equipment that cannot be overlooked!

Family Fun at the Field House!

Don't forget to dress in proper active clothing for the season! If your child is participating in outdoor activities, they should dress for the temperature. In cold weather, dress your child in layers, so that as their body temperature rises, they can take off one layer at a time.

It's a gorgeous facility with lots going on, at all times. Eventually, it would be nice to have the side lot paved for easier event access. **The cafeteria should be open when major events are going on. Otherwise allow food trucks.

Great facility....however the view is terrible.The concession was out of many things didn't eve have of any kind and every single vending machine was out of order.

Great facility for the players; but whom ever engineered this place needs to sit in the stands and try watching a game......that is, after they can find a place to park. Ridiculous.
