Great vibes from The Crux and the employees always make it a welcome environment. It's usually quiet unless there is a lesson going on, but lots of routes to climb. I just wished that there was better turnover with the route setting and that lead climbing would be available. The $10 fee on Fridays is definitely worth it for a drop-in.
Awesome place to climb, been climbing here for 7 years now and it never gets old. Staff is so welcoming and provide good sense of what climbing is to those who are new. Only thing is that our routes tend to be harder than other gyms but it only makes you feel amazing when you complete it.
The boulder problems are pretty good! Just wish they reset them more often... there are some problems that have been up for over 6 months.
Our favourite climbing gym! Three great bouldering caves, lots of variety. And if you like towers, where else are you going to find 75 foot walls?! One of the tallest gyms in North America. People are friendly, not usually that busy - check it out!
Tall walls! Great to stretch yourself and climb to a different setter's style of routes.
Tall routes that are great for building endurance. The routes are set with a different style than CCC gyms, which adds exposure to different moves not found at other gyms. Unfortunately, routes are not changed very often and spinners are pretty common (just like real limestone!). Staff are always super friendly as is the bouldering atmosphere.
Very friendly staff - even to a complete rookie climber like myself. The climbing class/belay instruction was great and it's always a nice atmosphere.
