Come be mesmerized by the newest public art installation, located in our front entranceway - a major new work by three amazing Calgary artists who filled 105 suspended and motorized hourglasses with sand crushed from the 1912 school inside!
Friday, September 28th features various arts & culture exhibits, tours and demonstrations ...by our creative community.
Saturday September 29th will feature our Farmers & Makers Market and Dandy Brewing Beer Garden, located in the cSPACE ArtPark and ArtYard.

Artists Caitlind r.c. Brown & Wayne Garrett will be onsite for AB Culture Days 2018 (September 28-29, 2018), sharing experiments and documentation from Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow and After Image, two public artworks currently being created for cSPACE in collaboration with Lane Shordee.
Designed specifically for the historic grand entrance of cSPACE King Edward, Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow is built from 105 suspended hourglasses. After Image is a wireframe artwork mimicking the archway of the school and destined for install in the public park South of cSPACE. Caitlind & Wayne look forward to sharing their experiences in a casual format.

We're proud to present the story behind daniel j kirk and Katie Green's "Imaginarium' project, located in our glassed-in stairwell at the North West corner of the building. This is the first of a three-part series on the art works and the amazing Calgary teams that dreamed them up.

What a beautiful community space and arts hub! So much talent in one place!

Went to the cSpace portrait show and was blown away with both the beautifully renovated facility and the art in Calgary. Excited, also, with the new theatre being built!

Kudos to all involved in this amazing project! waiting with anticipation for more exhibits and happenings.

The vibe is undeniable! Love this space. Thanks for the fresh approach to collaboration.

The building includes the old woodwork and new addition seamlessly. The art is lovely

Such a fabulous re use of a historic building. The space includes so many diverse "art" people. So great! Thank you for bringing such a great addition to our community.

Such a cool concept. Much needed in Calgary where the burgeoning arts scene deserves some extra love.

Incredible social enterprise model + fantastic space, art, people and experience. A rich blend of art in progress, retail, education, collaborative workspace, old and new architecture coalescing into a perfect blend of ahh/awe. Go visit.

I love everything about cSPACE from the beauty of the building, to the friendly, diverse, and talented tenants, to the support for community building through creativity, to the social enterprise model. I’m very pleased to be able to offer community art programming out of the studio of Paula Timm!

I had a lovely time. I was an invitee to Noble Fare Catering and Events cocktail party. I was greeted at the door by the loveliest people and immediately felt “celebrity”. True. Every detail was impeccable from checkin to coat check (not simple with hats, boots, coats, etc) to actually getting past the delicious dranks at the entrance to food gastro utopia. Serially speaking my manners took leave as I stood by the peanut satay sticks, beside shrimps on a garlic butter bed spoon beside skewers of calamari beside pastrami trout next to risotto Parmesan bowls and then ...... my Achilles heel .... home made chips. Potato. And plantain. Surrounded by fresh oyster suckem back on the half shell and fresh shrimp - again - 😋 - charcuterie, Parmesan crisps cheese pickled onions pickles mustard candied nuts dranks tiny two bite desserts brown butter lemon meringue bourbon pecan pie donuts milkshakes popcorn Standing and munching. That’s where my manners failed me. The food controlled my brain. Oh. My. Goodness. It was a delightful sampling of edible art truly made with passion and love. I would definitely call Noble Fare to help me feed my guests. Thank you for making me feel so darn important last night. LA

A wonderful addition to the Marda Loop. The repurposing of an historical school into a creative meeting place for the community is an idea long overdue. Well-done!

What a beautiful venue! I had never been here before and was not aware that this space existed but I look forward to attending more events in this venue.

Only 4 stars just 'cuz it's still not finished! Awesome addition to the Marda Loop / Calgary community. Another part of the hugely evolving area.

Beyond excited to see this space unfold with more art related events in the future. cheers!
