About Cups Calgary

Through integrated programs and services, CUPS builds resilient lives for Calgarians facing the challenges of poverty and trauma.

Cups Calgary Description

CUPS provides integrated health, education and housing services to low-income Calgarians living with the adversity of poverty and traumatic events.

While our work is rooted in the science of brain development, our passion is helping people effectively address their challenges, build resilience and ultimately become self-sufficient.

According to the Public Health Agency of Canada, the key to ending the load on the healthcare system is to invest early. Every $1 invested in the first few years of a low-income person’s life can save up to $9 in the future in health and criminal justice systems.
The social value created by CUPS comes from both benefits provided to our organization's beneficiaries, such as increased income, improved graduation rates, and improved health, as well as benefits to society in gene...ral, such as reduced social costs and increased tax revenue.
For every $1 you give to CUPS, $10 of social value is created.
Find out why CUPS was chosen as one of the 2017 Top 10 Impact Charities:

Ever wonder how generous Canadians are?

Older Canadians are more likely to donate to charities that focus on religion, health and social services, say the Rideau Hall Foundation and Imagine Canada in a report entitled "Thirty Years of Giving in Canada." Take a look to see how your giving habits align with the rest of the country. #30YearsofGiving
