Curvy Spine - Schroth Specialty Centre For Scoliosis And Kyphosis

Curvy Spine is a specialized physiotherapy clinic providing individualized therapy plan for people living with scoliosis, kyphosis and other spinal disorders.

The PURPOSE of the group is:

1. to offer support to scoliosis patients
2. to share experiences between patients, as well as therapists
3. to provide up-to-date research news on scoliosis and scoliosis treatments
4. to help scoliosis patients locate a certified Schroth therapist in their neighbourhood
5. to broaden the network of supporters of the Schroth Method

ABOUT Schroth Exercises

Schroth exercises are scoliosis-specific asymmetric exercises, performed in all three planes of the body. The so-called "rotational breathing", that consists of a combination of abdominal and costosternal breathing is encouraged during the exercise execution.

Every movement is dictated by the three dimensional rotational breathing.

In prone or supine - special bean bags are positioned under the prominent and asymmetric gibbosities to assure the proper muscle activation, providing a constant localized pressure.

Proper execution of exercises provides maximum stretching and strengthening of the aimed musculature in all three planes of the body.
