After seeing Dr Ian Russell about my left knee, hip and foot problems, I was fitted with orthotics. WITHIN DAYS my knee problem disappeared! WITHIN WEEKS my hip problem began disappearing. It has now been a few months since I've been wearing my new orthotics. I have NO KNEE OR HIP PROBLEMS at all. I no longer limp when I walk ... ever! The orthotics are a god send. My plantar fasciitis (acute heel pain) is significantly better provided I wear my orthotics and do the foot exercises recommended by Dr Russell and his assistant. I now only purchase footwear from suppliers who sell proper support shoes and slippers. I am confident that this last plantar fasciitis problem will also disappear. Thank you Dr Ian Russell and staff!

I Highly recommend the Dalhousie Station Foot Clinic. Dr. Ian Russel and the staff at the Dalhousie Station Foot Clinic are amazing! I was plagued with planters fascitis in the spring and suffered for over 3 months before taking action. I could no longer do many of things I enjoy, because it was too painful to be on my feet. Now I wonder why I waited so long. Dr. Russell perscrbed orthotics, along with physio and massage. Staff also recommended a number of stretching exercises for my feet, achilles tendon and calf muscles. Dr. Russell even provided information on the best shoes for my particular situation, and a list of retailers where I can purchase them. Now I wear sandals with proper arch support around the house all the time, even when I get up during the night. No doctor can perform miracles, but with a bit of patience and a commitment to follow the recommedations, I have no doubt whatsoever, you will achieve the desired results. (It is a waste of their time, and yours, if you do not follow the rcommendations.) My feet feel better than they have im months! I will continue to follow Dr. Russell's recommendations to ensure my feet remain healthy, and pain free. Thank you Dr. Russell for giving me my life back!

P.S. The admin staff even put together a package of information for my insurance claim which included everything I needed. (My claim was paid promptly, without any additional requestions.)

My son and I had an opportunity to visit Dr. Ian Russell to gain some insight into his inversion of the feet. Dr. Russell did an assessment of his feet through a series of 50 pictures or more (on each foot) which served as a ridiculous purpose as my kiddo was sitting up the whole time for this procedure. He prescribed an orthotic to be slipped into the shoe. My son has Down's Syndrome and although he has limited speech ability, he was able to tell the Doctor a week later that the orthotics he prescribed in fact gave him an 'ouchie.' When Dr. Russell finally looked at the actual orthotic he observed that the feet were peeling off to the sides of its foundation, thereby making it super incomfortable! He didnt admit it was faulty in anyway, instead he said that this can happen and we'll fix it and off he went. Zero warmth, no discussions, very rude.. He should have taken some extra time to analyze it properly BEFORE we went home with it. That would have provided some comfort and support to my 7 yr old son who was supposed to wear them all day at school. The orthotics had a heel and everything on it?!! It was a crazy looking device and we got no support from him, he simply rushed and expected his assistants to take over. After a cple of weeks, we came back. Again he rushed through the appointment and said my son needed to get used to it and this would be his life forever. Are you serious?? He couldnt provide anymore insight so he referred my son to a specialist...one good thing he did! We went to the specialist-turns out my kid has over flexible feet and DOES NOT need an orthotic at ALL!!! Simple runners with a soft padding and good Arch supports will do the trick. Dr. Ian Russell charged us 900$ for these orthotics and of course relayed there would be no refunds. My advice is to stay away from this clinic. They rush and look for fast money. The one star is for the coffee in waiting area. Go Keurig!
