You know when you meet someone and you know instantly that they’ll change your life? Well in my job, I meet many of these people. My regulars become my family. They know about my kid, my fights with my husband, deaths in my family and they cheer me on and support me along the way. They hug me, tell me how they appreciate me and treat me like one of their own. The recipient of this shawl is one of those people. She’s fighting a battle with cancer and as the days tick by, she’s... getting worse and worse. It breaks my heart to watch her suffer, to watch her teach her husband how to survive without her. I hope she loves it as much as I love her. ❤️ Don’t take the people in your life for granted.
