Dargatz Family Farm

The Dargatz Family Farm believes in and practices sustainable farming by avoiding harmful sprays in order to produce natural and healthy products.

The Dargatz Family Farm is located in Leduc County and is less than 50 kilometers from Edmonton city limits. We sell bedding plants, vegetables, eggs and home canning at farmers’ markets and at the farm (by arrangement). We believe in and practice sustainable farming by avoiding harmful sprays in order to produce natural and healthy products. The farm has been in the family for almost 100 years, and we hope to see it in our family for generations to come.

To purchase vegetables between May and October, please visit us at the following famers' markets:
- Wednesday from 4 pm to 8 pm at the South West Edmonton Farmers’ Market in the parking lot at the Terwillegar Recreation Centre at 2051 Leger Road NW. (www. swefm. ca) This market runs from mid-May until October 7th, 2015. Cash only please.
- Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm at the South Common Market in Edmonton at the Alberta Research Park at 151 Karl Clark Road NW. (www. southcommonmarket. ca) This market runs from early May 9th, 2015 until October 18th, 2015. Again, cash only please.

Starting October 14th, 2015, Keith will be making two weekly trips into Edmonton to deliver orders. You can pick up your orders from him on the following days:
- Wednesdays between 5: 30 pm and 6: 30 pm, at the same spot in the parking lot at the Terwillegar Recreation Centre, where the Dargatz Family Farm sets up its farmers' market tent during the summer season. (The south-west corner of the south parking lot. )
- Sunday afternoons between 2: 30 pm and 3: 30 pm at the South Common market site, again the same spot as where the tent is set up during the summer. (This parking lot is across the street from London Drugs, on the east side of 19th Avenue. ) Keith will either be in a brown Ford pick-up or a black Toyota.

For the off-season orders, we accept cash, as well as email money transfers for all orders.
Currently, we are selling medium eggs sell for $3. 50 a dozen, large sell for $4. 00 a dozen and extra-large sell for $4. 50 a dozen. Potatoes, cabbage, beets and winter squash are also available. Please inquire for more details.
