Excellent prices. Great service and super friendly staff. I had made a mistake with the dates of my booking on arrival here. But the staff bent over backwards to accommodate me. I recommend this place.

I loved everything about this branch as they provide the best service I have ever experienced and they find me a vehicle no matter what. The branch manager Surinder and staff member Tanzina has been amazing as they always are there to help me every step of the way.

Visiting Calgary for the first time and needed help renting a car. Got super quick service with Discount Car & Truck Rentals. Was able to find a decently priced vehicle and make a reservation the night before pick up. Tanzina was great at the front counter and made the process quick and easy!

We've booked a small car and got a huge SUV instead for the same price. The price was also fantastic. We've even extended the contract at the end. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend ;)

I rented a small SUV, there were a few issues initially picking up and dropping off. The manager Surinder, made us feel at ease that all the issues would be resolved when the vehicle was returned. True to his word he sorted everything out regarding the invoice. I have to say he is the most helpful and friendly person I have met, he went the extra mile for us, and his patience and customer service are second to none. I will definitely use this company again and will recommend them. I would also recommend to book direct with them rather that through a third party as this is were the fault lay.

Terrible experience.

Reserved a vehicle online, over a week in advance, only to receive a call 45 minutes before my rental was to begin that they would not have a vehicle for me at all that day. What is the purpose of a reservation if it's not honoured?

Their solution to the problem they created was to "Drive me to Avis". Not make a reservation for me somewhere else, not get a car from a different location some time later in the day, no attempt to retain me as a customer. Nothing.

It was pretty clear they didn't really care that they put me in a difficult situation. I won't be back.

Very frustrating and disappointing experience. I can't comment on what it is like if you succeed in renting a vehicle. But I booked a moving truck well in advance through the website. It is now 2 days before the move, and they have just cancelled. Of course everyone moves on the same day, so everything in Alberta is booked solid and the only replacement I can find is 4x the cost and on different days. I have to rebook child care and re-arrange with friends who offered to help.

Be warned, and read the other reviews here - clearly I'm not the only person this happened to. Before booking with this company consider what the consequences will be if they cancel on you at the last minute.

Booking a moving truck with Discount was a financial hit for me, and I've had to take time out from work to scramble and put something together. And to preempt the token half apology and offer to discuss over email, we've already talked about this extensively on the phone.

The service at this location is absolutely disgraceful. We have booked a truck from here on two separate occasions and both times we have had a very unpleasant experience:

Booking #1: We arrived to a line up of customers; there was only a single member of staff, which meant that there was nobody available to help the customers who were waiting to be served. This staff member was very disheveled and had a bad attitude. The place was filthy and looked like an abandoned office. We had to wait a very long time to be served as the single employee was responsible for greeting, paperwork and truck inspection for all customers.

Booking #2: We booked a truck over a month in advance. THE DAY BEFORE we were due to pickup the truck, we received a phone call telling us that there was no truck available. We called to try to figure out a way to resolve the situation, and were passed from one person to the next, all of whom basically told us that there was nothing that they could do. No compensation was offered. We had packed up an entire apartment's worth of belongings and our lease was up the following day, so if we hadn't been fortunate enough to find an available truck elsewhere on short notice (UHaul), we would have literally been on the street with all of our valuables.

I would absolutely not recommend this company and certainly not this particular location.

I've had a total of 3 rentals from this location over the past several years, each rented by our insurance company to cover loss-of-use due to hail damage. The coordination between the repair shops, the insurance company and ourselves, has been pretty good. They are actually so easy going that you almost think you need to confirm they don't need any more information, so they are easy to work with,. Although in each case, it seemed like they almost double-booked cars for us and have followed up by phone, asking when we want to pick up the car - while we already had one. Not a big deal but overall can sometimes seem a little disorganized / casual.

The cars themselves have always been clean and in good condition, and no surprises at time of pickup or delivery.
