Discovery Musical Dayhome - Mckenzie Towne

Discovery Musical Dayhome is a private dayhome located in the Mckenzie Towne, south east of Calgary. Serving families for surrounding communities.

Mission:
To provide the quality care for your little angle in a safe, loving & art immersion environment. My philosophy is that children come first. I know that magic happens when we nurture the whole child, body, mind and spirit. I treat each child as an individual, a person with his or her unique way of learning and doing.
I am a mom too; therefore, I totally understand how importance of finding the perfect day home for your child; as there is nothing more precious to parents than our children.

My day home is name “Discovery Musical” day home because we believe that “Music” is a very important element in children’s life. There are lots of research shown that only listen 10 to 15 minutes classical music per day can increase the kids’ IQ by 5% !
In addition to that, scientists have discovered that music training has significant influences on the brain development of young children leading to improved memory over the course of a year. Researchers also found that the musically trained children performed better in a memory test that is correlated with other skills such as literacy, verbal memory, mathematics and intelligence.
Therefore, in our day home, music is playing during the day.
