Hey everyone, Charlie just wanted to remind you that recycling is extremely importantā»ļø š» When we reuse, reduce, recycle we make a significant difference for our environment š Did you know that the average household in Canada throws away $1500 of food each year š If youāre cleaning out your freezer, rather than throwing it in the landfill feel free to drop it off with us and we can make use of it for the animals! We do everything we can to minimalize our footprint, we hope the animals can inspire you to do the same! š»š

We cannot wait to come and visit the Wildlife park this Friday. It will be our oldest childrenās 4th time but our youngest childās first time. We drive 4 hours to come here and would drive many more hours if we had to! Itās so cute to watch the kids faces light up and we also enjoy the shows and seeing all the animals. We will be back again and again! My family is from New Zealand and every time we have a new visitor this place is on the to see list!! Better than any other zoo I have been too not only because you get to see the animals much closer but also because they are well looked after and the shows are so much fun to watch. We are so excited.
We came here for the first time July 6-7. We camped at the camp ground and took in some night adventures. We loved it all. The staff and trainers are amazing and you can tell they just love their jobs. My kids 4 & 7 loved it as well. The train by our camper was a bit of a damper for some in my group trying to sleep at night but it would not hinder us from coming back again. I would highly recommend any of the adventures we did, wolf walk, behind the scenes with the cats and the den tour.
The animals are healthy and cared for , their grounds are lovely, everyone I talked to was kind and obviously loved their job and the animals they care for , and the bears ļæ½...... I live in an area where I see black bear often . I love them . I have always wanted to get close to a black bear(safely) , not only did I get too , I got photographic evidence of a kiss on my cheek with bonkers . I treasure that photo as well as the memories of a unforgettable day with my family. Thank you !!!
The Ultimate Bear Experience was amazing! Thank you so much for offering this great experience. We'll never forget it, and so happy to have finally met Berkley! She is so sweet and so loved! It was also great to meet your big black bear family! It was amazing to feed Reno and for Angel to tell a secret ļæ½ Cant wait to see the rest of the photos!
Overnight camped and spent an evening and a day at the park. The wolf walk was amazing. The grandkids really enjoyed the bear presentation. Well maintained facility. We will definitely come back again!
Our favourite pastime to do in Innisfail. Very fortunate to have bears, monkeys, camels wolves and Santa's reindeer in our backyard.
My students were thrilled with our day at the zoo today. They admired all of the knowledgeable tour guides, were delighted to be able to touch some critters, talked non-stop about the cool gift shop and many want to come back to camp out!
My family and I stayed here for 3 nights and I wish we booked longer! The camp ground and zoo were super clean and well maintained. All of the staff we came in contact with were super friendly and knowledgeable. Waking up to camels and ostrichās right next to the camper and getting to watch the keeper feed the animals in the morning was a lot of fun for my kids and also myself and husband. The only negative is that there is no water fill up station or dump station... but the owner did come by and fill up our water tank for us when we needed it and the dump in town isnāt to far away! This wouldnāt stop us from booking this camp ground again. Iām really excited that we found this place and cannot wait to go back. I will be recommending this place to anybody and everybody!
It's an unbelievable experience to walk with the wolfs, or visit the most beautiful cats in the world. I have a soft spot for Zendaya and Griffen whom I met. What a great experience ....Thank you for all you do ....hugs to the bears too!
Great way to spend an afternoon. I'm not much for crowds so the Calgary zoo isn't exactly my favourite outing.. but I love animals and Discovery allows you an up and close experience without waiting in line for an hour to get in. You can tell the animals are well cared for. Can't wait to bring my kids here!
Before u think this is a zoo.. talk to the wonderful people that work here.. these animals are orphans.. they needed a home.. and this wonderful place has worked with these animals to help them be stimulated.. can't say that for the Edmonton zoo or the Calgary zoo.. I don't speak animal so I can't say if all the animals were happy but the lion presentation was so interesting.. and the bear one was even more interesting.. my children loved this place and will be back to help support these wonder people and their amazing ORPHANED ANIMALS..
Amazing time here! All of the staff has been amazing. The grounds and the enclosures are immaculate the animals are so well cared for! The presentations were awesome! Completely different atmosphere entirely from any zoo/wildlife park I've ever been to
Absolutely loved our visit there today! Berkley the bear was so entertaining, the staff are amazing, the animals are well taken care of. We will be back again! ļæ½ļæ½
A fantastic facility with that truly shows caring for its animals. Their message on bear safety and conservation is well done and you will walk away with knowledge and respect for one of Canada's most majetic animals.
We had a wonderful experience with the beaver and staff. We honestly didnāt think we would get a good picture however the staff worked wonders and we came home with the perfect shots!
Very well run and looked after, our son loved the monkeyās & camels! The only reason I didnāt give 5 stars was a lot of the animals sat in the back of there cages sleeping and we could only see them from one side. Donāt mind watching an animal sleep but wish there was more angles. Also being 8 months pregnant the golf cart rentals were a huge bonus! We will be back!
I gave 4 stars. Here's why.
Pros:
Great, clean facility and campground.
Friendly staff. Seemingly knowledgeable about their subject material.
Animals look healthy and cared for. Some impressive force free training. I saw some good use of Clicker training on the wolves and bears.
Cons:
All to do with the campground.
Only 1 toilet/shower shack. It's located at the very entrance to the campground, So when nature calls urgently or late at night it's a long walk, ended up actually driving to decrease time.
There was 1 or 2 porta potties but they were on the other side of the "Pond" so too far to be useful.
No sani-dump for grey water. Had to remove it off site.
A wind break tree line would be nice on the side of the campground nearest to the train tracks. It might held with noise of the train as well, although that's not something the park can really do anything about.
Overall, My Wife and I passed a very pleasant 3 days camping, visiting the zoo, and doing some of the add on close encounters in the evening.
Absolutely will be returning. Hopefully some upgrade can be done over time, as funding allows.
Everyoneās experience here is great the camping is exceptional to the best sounds you will never ever experience in any other place love ļæ½ it here the work gone into putting it all together and the love they have for there animals here are something you donāt see in any other place so glad to be able to experience the whole place thanks Deb,Serena,Doug and staff that all make it possible...........
