We spent July 1st weekend @ the campground & had an amazing time...the staff were amazing & so accommodating😊The animals were absolutely beautiful & the presentations were educational as well as extremely entertaining...the campground is clean & level in an extremely relaxed environment. We travelled 7hrs & it was worth the trip can't wait to do it again😊

This place is amazing! We had such a great time on our bear experience! I definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family. The animals were awesome and very well taken care of. Showers and bathrooms were very clean! The golf carts are a great idea for people with mobility issues. Which I was very thankful for lol. The only thing I didnt like was the sweatshirts and tshirts didn't come in my size. I can't wait to go back!!!

Such a unique experience! Night tours with the animals are amazing. The NEW Cabins are great, clean and comfortable!

My family has always enjoyed our visits, over the last 5 years, to DWP!! Zookeepers and staff are not only well educated, but fun and personable! The varied animal (education) shows are full of eco/animal education, and lively entertainment. The public is engaged, and encouraged to be involved. The animals are VERY well cared for, and quite obviously always put first. We are proud to be among the many return guests, and social media followers, from all over Canada and USA. �

Just got home from 2 nights camping and a day at the park. Staff is fantastic and we were well taken care of. I didn't realize our site didn't have water but for $10 they had a truck come around and fill us up! Corrected a huge mistake I had made not paying attention when booking. With three young kids, it was a big save for us. We did the after hours walk with the wolves and visited the big cats. So worth the extra money and in the evening the animals were more curious and coming to see us. My 7 year old will never forget getting wolf kisses! The animals are very well cared for, the grounds are gorgeous and well manicured and the golf cart rentals for those who only have a few hours or aren't as mobile are a nice touch. 'Gus Gus' the beaver was a favourite for our family, we all got pictures in our Canada shirts and don't miss the bear presentation. We will definitely be back.

If you are looking for a fun thing to do with the kids or even as a couple this is it. There is more rules than the normal but, you’re not in a normal setting. The importance of keeping the animals is safe and the campers is important to Doug and the staff.

Hearing wolves howl was crazy!

My wife and kids loved it

Trivia night was fun

My son loves fishing in the stocked pond. He didn’t catch anything but still loved it.



Negatives



The campground is beside train tracks. The train would come by at night 2-3 times a night.



I was told I couldn’t walk from the campground to the park.



Conclusion



Honestly the train going by was like 5 minutes of inconvenience out of or 3 day weekend. If I let that bother me then I am just looking for something to complain about.

I can not wait for it to open! It's going to be such a great chance for everyone to get to experience discovery wildlife park in a whole new way! There's nothing like hearing the lions and wolves serenade you and having beautiful wildlife near by, all while knowing it is safe for the people and the animals :)! And if people go to the bear safety presentations during the day, they can learn everything they need to know for being bear safe if they are camping out in the wild :)

Hello EVERYONE!!



The owner Doug and his wife went over and above any of our expectations to accommodate any of our needs during our camping trip.



This campground is very well kept and a VERY nice washroom facility. There is a trout pond right next to the campground and the fish are jumping like crazy. It was so exciting to see our kids catching fish.



We even spent the day at the zoo and the bear show was UNBELIEVABLE! It was a great presentation. We are more than happy that we chose this spot and will definitely be coming back next year.

Camped there on opening weekend and the experience was amazing!!! Perfect campground for a family with kids. The zoo was a great experience. These people treat the animals as if they were their own kids, you can see the love they have for these animals!!! Can't wait to go back again.

Awesome campground & the staff are amazing !!! Grounds & washrooms were clean and they were always around checking to see if you needed anything - awesome weekend -- check it out !!

Absolutely LOVE IT! Every year I get annual memberships! Great place to go with the family!!!

A friend told me about this place and so we decided to spend 2 nights here last weekend, and I was not disappointed at all! We got to do an after hours tour to meet the big cats in the park (tiger, leopards, and lions) which was amazing, and we woke up to the sound of the wolves howling in the mornings. Only thing I would suggest is to allow campfires, but other than that we had a great time here!

Your misuse of the bear cub for your own gain is likely illegal and appalling.

Showing a bear cub to get people to come to your campground? This is disgusting beyond words.
