DK Danes would like to introduce our own Dks Sweet Sadie.
Sadie is from our very own breeding program. Just over a year and a half ago DK Danes was looking to improve our program with full Euros, pure colors, great health and special bloodlines... we searched for a very long time for a special Dam and when we finally found Sadie we brought her all the way home from Oklahoma. We were very lucky last year when she blessed us with such a perfect litter, however she was recently... spayed due to complications and is looking for a quieter home where she can retire early, be cuddled and loved like the best friend she is!! Sadie is a wonderful dog and this will be the first time we have ever decided to re home one from our own program. This was not an easy decision, she is one of our pac members, our family so we will be very picky as to where she goes.
Sadie is very special she is what we like to call the cream of the crop, the perfect Great Dane in Dk Danes eyes;) Sadie is a Full European pure blue, she is AKC/CKC dual registered, has fantastic pedigree, perfect composition, and of course such a beautiful face and personality! I could write an entire page about this dogs funny traits and personality but because I am looking for the perfect home I would much rather talk in person and get to know any of the families interested!
All our dogs are raised around other dogs, children, cats and are well socialized and trained to be the best pets they can be! All up to date on vaccines, De-worming and come with a health guarantee and return contract! If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me anytime.
Price is $1500 to approved home, interviews will take time (there will be a couple to match her to the right home) we will be very selective so serious inquires only

I had a family tell me today about their first time purchasing a puppy and what a horror story it was! when I asked why they bought off of that specific “breeder” they explained because they saw this magnet on their fridge! They figured a registered breeder meant they had to be a good breeder.
Unfortunately I hear this story way to often. 😞 Wether your breeder is registered or not registered it is still very important to do as much research as you can on the breeder you end u...p buying from. It is so important to educate yourself on HOW to buy a puppy before you do... Remember Registered or not you still need to ask allot of questions. Not only about the dogs but about the breeder themselves and how they run they’re program!!
Buying from registered breeders alone is not the answer to avoiding puppy mills, backyard breeding, animal abuse,neglect.... no kennel club actually partakes in any breeders personal program in fact becoming a registered breeder is as simple as paying for your membership! anyone can do it, including all the places your planning to avoid!! The best way to stop supporting puppy mills, backyard breeders and/or anyone else who does not belong in the industry is to shop smart: Get educated on the breed, talk to more then one breeder, learn as much as you can about that breeder ask how they run their program, ask about their dogs, learn about the breeders reputation, talk to previous puppy owners and never place a deposit until you feel 100% trusting that you have found the right and the best breeder for you! Don’t buy a puppy from anyone until you know they are going to give you the best new family member you can find!!

Dk Danes would like to introduce Hudson: Hudson is from our breeding program last year, he is currently looking for his forever home! Hudson’s parents are Dks very own Full Euro Blue Sweet Sadie and a sire we brought in a full Euro harlequin sire also named Hudson. Pics of mom and dad both available upon request or look through our site for pics of mom and dad and siblings! mom is here to meet as well as full sister.
Hudson is a full European Merle intact male that is micro...chipped and ckc registered (Canadian Kennel club) He was raised in a loving home environment with kids, dogs and cats. He would really like a a home with kids as he really enjoys there company and bonds well with them! Hudson knows basic training, such as sit, come, stay...., he does not pull on a leash but needs some work and is hoping to find someone that will take the time to give more confidence on his walks. Hudson is only a year and two months so although he is already a very big boy he is not done growing and will need his family to keep up with the training!
Hudson homing fee is $1000, he is fully vaccinated, vet checked and will be sold with his health passport Dks health guarantee/no breeding rights, contract. If you have any interest in Hudson or want to learn more about him please contact me Dana, anytime on our page at Dk Danes on Facebook and/or kijiji

My 19 year-old daughter Brooke was in a high-impact car accident in 2016. Although she was being treated by a physician and physiotherapist on a regular basis, she walked around on an undiagnosed fractured femur for five months. By the time it was diagnosed and surgically repaired, she developed a serious and rarely diagnosed chronic pain disorder called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. Mildly put, the last year has been extremely difficult. Brooke has been forced to put a lot of her dreams and plans on hold. So when my sister told me she had been to Dana’s to see the puppies and had picked out her precious girl Jersey, I started thinking about the potential benefit of having a companion dog for Brooke. A few days later my other sister sent me a text with a picture of one of Dana’s puppies with a message saying, “look who I am in love with...”. So I couldn’t possibly be the only sister without a Great Dane. By the time we made the decision to add a Great Dane to our family, Dana only had one little female left. We now know that the little female, Stella, was meant for us.

Brooke lives with severe pain on a daily basis. When her pain flares up and she is forced to spent the majority of the day in bed, Stella does not leave Brooke’s side. She seems to intuitively know when Brooke can use some extra cuddles and quiet time. The rambunctious and sometimes clumsy puppy can easily switch gears to be the sensitive, gentle giant Brooke needs. Stella and Brooke have a beautiful and mutually beneficial relationship. The puppy keeps Brooke moving when she thinks she can’t and automatically puts a smile on Brooke’s face even when she has nothing to smile about.

If you’re wondering how well these gentle giants interact with babies and small children, we recently had Brooke’s one year-old niece visiting. The little girl had just started to walk on her own. Stella is a baby herself with massive feet and a deadly tail. Needless to say, I was a little nervous that Stella might run into her or knock her over. I am extremely proud to say that Stella cautiously followed the baby around the house all evening. She was inquisitive and very gentle. I do have to admit, Stella stole the baby’s soother once but didn’t mind giving it back.

Words alone are insufficient in adequately expressing my gratitude to Dana and her family for doing such a fantastic job of bringing these amazing puppies into the world. It is obvious she cares deeply for her dogs and does a great job of making sure all the puppies go to a good home. She is very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job of teaching us what we needed to know before taking our baby home. So if you have done your research and decided a Great Dane is the right breed for you, I would strongly recommend DK Danes. I cannot think of a single thing that could have been improved on. The experience has been excellent!

I just wanted to give D.K Danes a huge shout out for the amazing puppy we have and the great experience we had in choosing our pup Storm.... here's a bit of a back story for those of you who are considering to add a Dane to your family. We had our family dog Chopper a Weimaraner who had passed this late February due to old age (14yrs old), we spent the next few months healing as a family and we had moved on as best we could. During the summer time my 4yr old then had started talking about how he missed Chopper and so on, so we took this as a sign and decided that maybe it was time to start looking for a new family pet. I'm not sure if it was by fluke or fate that I came across an ad from Dana that very same day we had decided to start looking!! Never had we considered Great Danes, we have 2 young children and live in the city, this would be crazy right?? I showed my husband the information anyway and he kinda smirked and said well look into it, we are just looking right now. So I spent the next 3 or 4 days doing research on the breed as well as a few others and on paper the Great Dane had actually checked most of what we were hoping for in a new pet. So I contacted Dana and spent the next two weeks calling and texting as at first I was extremely intimidated by the size of Danes and I still had a million questions lol. She never hesitated to answer my concerns nor did I feel any pressure for either direction as to whether or not a Dane was right for us. So our next step was to meet her and her family, including her fur babies. Ok, so this whole time my main concern is the timing of this litter would make my daughter around the 6-7m mark and crawling and we would be bringing a puppy home. I was scared that the puppy would be constantly trampling all over my daughter as I've read about all the clumsy and playful stages of Great Danes. So we enter Dana's home and meet her family, an older daughter, a son close to my son's age and a baby girl abit younger than my daughter!! We watched Scooby play with her son and were amazed not only by the size of him but how gentle he was. It made my heart melt . Dana talked with us about raising her family with Danes and the different issues that they dealt with and how to deal with certain things with their growing children and Dane family. We were so impressed with how open she was in answering all of our questions and concerns and allowing us in her home to meet everyone before our decision was even made. And then we met Izzy , in our hearts we knew we had made up our mind but wanted to think it over. We left with Dana saying we could have as many play dates as we wanted or needed before making our decision, but we didn't need anymore. Dana's family, her home, her generosity and knowledge of this breed allowed us to make the best decision we could never have imagined! When Izzy had her pups Dana's openness still continued and still allowed us as many visits as we wanted, we picked our forever puppy to have and love and to complete our family . To who ever who may be considering a Dane from D.K Danes we highly recommend this family it was a wonderful experience . Thanks again Dana.

I cannot even begin to express how great of a breeder Dana is and how great a job she did with our puppy. He came home already knowing his name , no accidents, and all around the sweetest most loving dog I have ever met. She went above and beyond our expectations, and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for not only a Euro Dane breeder , but a breeder in general . I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our experience and will hopefully be back in 2 years for another !!!

Dana, just want to take this opportunity to let you know we will be recommending Dkdanes to anyone looking for an amazing breeder. The puppies are healthy and well cared for prior to going to their forever homes and you have been available to answer any and all questions and concerns we have had with Remi and Bronson. The concern and care you have shown for our "babies" goes beyond what we expected when we were searching for a Dane breeder. Thank you for always being available to answer questions we had about our pups! We also want to thank you for your concern you showed for our family and our pups during the evacuation in May!

D.K. Danes........ best breeder hands down. Our family was wanting to add to our family and I've always had my heart set on Great Danes, we went looking and scouring the internet to see if we could find that one breeder who meshed well with us and has the same outlook on things as we do.

And then I stumbled across Dana's add on kijiji and my entire life changed.

Let me tell you, I ask ALOT of questions lol! Dana was and is always there to answer any question (small or big) that I have. Such a caring and kind woman and her family.......so adorable!

We picked our beautiful boy from the litter 4 weeks before picking him up and then had the amazing opportunity to surprise our kids with Yukon, Dana also helped with this wonderful surprise.

When we were picking our puppy we told Dana what we were looking for in traits and temperament. She new all the puppy's so well that she pointed out Yukon to us and of course we fell in love with him!

He is now almost 6 months old (wow where has the time flown by!!!) and such an amazing pup! He loves "his kids" and they love him. He's my nightly snuggle buddy and even my husband gets in on those snuggles!!

Thank you Dana!!! We could not have picked a better breeder or person!

Anyone would be lucky to receive a beautiful puppy from Dana to add in your lives 😀
