Doglogix Sporting Scent Detection

To promote canine scent detection sports which give any dog and handler the chance to experience working together as a detection team, building scenting skills that are stimulating, enriching and fun!

Ryan-Ann obtained her obedience training certification at Canada West Canine Center in 2000. Since then she has accumulated 19 years of experience in dog training and behavior. She has worked as an obedience instructor, behavior modification consultant, Municipal Animal Control Officer and as a Peace Officer with the Alberta SPCA. She has competed in agility, flyball, and rally-obedience as well as Scent Detection. She is immersed Scent Detection as a successful competitor, trainer and an SDDA judge.

"It was Kohlt was inspired me to try something new. He needed a job and was not enjoying agility. We started doing Scent Detection and never looked back. The activity benefits dogs in so many ways. It provides necessary mental stimulation, gives the dogs a real job to do, builds confidence, facilitates an intense bond with each dog and encourages handlers to become much better observers of canine behavior. I love watching the dogs use their magical olfactory systems. It never ceases to amaze me what they can figure out with their noses. "

Currently, Ryan-Ann lives with and trains two Dutch Shepherds, Kohlt and Charm, Belgian Malinois, Rayne and Pomeranian cross, Elliot. She shares her passion for Scent Detection through classes, workshops and private training options.
