My boyfriend and I booked our appointments for eye exams then asked if we could get some trial pairs to get him through the next couple days of work till the appointment. They told us no and that we would have to pay for contacts if we wanted them even tho we have an appointment in a few days and will be purchasing contancts then but in a diffrent perscription. Thats is seriously unbelievable to me. So now he is going to work partially blind because we can't afford to pay for the wrong perscription of contacts and the right perscriptions a few days later. I am acctually so disgusted by there lack of customer service.

DO NOT GO HERE. They treat you poorly and charge you unreasonably.

Awful.

If i could give this less then 1 star i would

Obviously, one star indicates I am not happy. My grievance is that I went in to get my eyes measured for new glasses and I was diagnosed with "dry eye disease" and sold $136 in eye drops, eye wipes and microwaveable eye compresses. I tried them all but quickly realized that regular antibacterial soap would work just as well as their expensive wipes. My eyes are not sore or dry so the eye drops were also useless.

I felt I had succumbed to fast talk and I wanted to return the products (still sealed) that I had not used, but Bishop and Associates would not provide a refund. Walmart provides refunds, but a doctor - no! The best they could was 'credit' on my next visit, which I assured them, would not happen, so I am stuck with expensive and useless "medical" supplies.

I am a senior citizen and $136 is a significant amount of money to me. I greatly appreciate the subsidy provided by the Alberta government for seniors'eye care and consider it a privilege, not an entitlement. Letting myself get pushed into this unnecessary expense was a mistake that negated that benefit. Just one more case of US style medical ethics (ethics?) creeping into our system, with a simple optometrist visit suddenly changing into multiple visits. Its just so easy for doctors to aggrandize their income in the name of patient care, whether it is necessary or not.

As to the response - just refund products I clearly can see that I don't need. I kept the compress since it seems to do something useful.

After my first ever appointment yesterday, I will not be returning and I would suggest others do not waste their time or money either. I had a scheduled appointment for four twenty and showed up fifteen minutes early, (as it was my first visit I was prepared to go through insurance/ new patient paperwork). While filling out my paperwork, interested walk-in patients inquired at reception about wait times. The receptionists told the walk-in patients that because there is only ONE doctor in it will be about a half hour wait.

Patients who had called ahead and booked scheduled times had appointments completely ignored and were treated as thought they were walk-ins. If you don't have the services available to treat people correctly you should not be offering said services. I was there for a total of 1 hour and 40 minutes and only 25 of those minutes were spent on eye tests or seeing the doctor- the rest sitting in a back waiting room.

Please do not waste your time like I did mine.

The reason why I am giving this place a 1 star rating is because of the technician. The clerk at the front Adrian and Dr. Anand are both awesome 100%. After going through a bunch of eye exams at the technician's office, I spotted a cold water machine. Because the temperature is 28 degrees, and because I have waited for a long time, and because the office is exposed to the sunlight rays coming in from the transparent glass ceiling of the mall, I was thirsty. So I told the technician: can I please have a cup of water ? She replied: sorry, it's for staff only ! I WAS UTTERLY SHOCKED !

150 dollars for doing some useless tests that I know I don't need (I am a medical student) for a healthy person who is in his twenties (just ripping off insurance money) and a cup of water is too much to ask ? REALLY !

I told her: are you sure ? She kept looking back and forth at me and the cold water machine like she is hesitating to give me a cup of water. And then she said: "yeah, it's staff only" !!!

Wow. Really just WOW.

I mean I am not even talking about the quality of medical care I received. This is a whole new low ! Needless to say, I will never step foot in that place again !

Been going to this location for the last 10+ years. Used to be good, but lately patient experience has gone downhill. Be prepared to wait 20-30 mins when you walk in, that is with an appointment.
During my last visit, contact lenses sales was pushed shamelessly hard by everyone in the office from receptionists all the way to the doctor. After the visit, I was escorted from a back exit and “handed over” to lenscrafters to buy glasses I didn’t need or want.
Sad to see what used to be a good place going this way. Lost their professionalism and patient care for car dealership approach. Not impressed by their recent company cultural change.

Good doctors. Very over priced merchandise. Terrible price match policy. I was convinced to prepay for my contacts but after finding a better price elsewhere (30% less) they would only give me store credit because "I already paid". I still haven't received my contacts because they hadn't even ordered them yet.
