Dr. Shawn Higashi

Excellent experience for my daughter's wisdom teeth removal. Dr Higashi was clear, realistic and compassionate when explaining the procedure. He personally called me a few hours after the procedure to check on my daughter. Highly recommend.

Dr.Higashi attended to two of my children within a year. They were very proffesional and informative. They ensured that patients understood the procendure, medications and had all they needed for a comfortable recovery. After talking with others that had undergone similar procedures...Dr.Higashi went above and beyond what some other practices offer. I would Highly reccomend for Tooth extraction surgery.

Nice people and easy scheduling

I was very impressed with the oral surgery I had done at the office of Dr. Higashi. Everything about the procedure and process was extremely well explained during the consultation, and reviewed pre-surgery. Dr. Higashi was professional and personable, as were all who worked with him and communicated with me throughout this process. I went in, was prepared and sedated by friendly staff, then woke up and it was all over. Nothing to it, from my end. I was sent home with clear instruction materials, which I followed, including the important steps of keeping the area iced throughout that first day and taking medications as needed. I received follow-up calls the first day and again a few days later from Dr. Higashi and staff, along with the invitation to contact staff and/or Dr. HIgashi personally even after hours should any issues arise, and was impressed by their caring professionalism. I had no swelling after that first day and hardly any pain. Everything is healing up nicely.

I went a few days to get my teeth extracted, and they made it an extremely easy and painless experience. We went in for the consultation, and met Higashi personally, and explained the process in full, all the while asking if I had any questions as they stated they don't keep any secrets about the process if you ask them. During the surgery two days later, the assistant nurses were fantastically kind and kept a conversation during prep. I was under general anesthetic, and they explained everything, there was not one surprise in the OR. Waking up, the nurses were excellent and assisted in the recovery so I could go home. They escourted me down to my carpool, in case something happened. At home the following evening, the office called my house twice to see if all was well, and we even got a personal call from Dr Higashi. All is still well, and I would not hesitate for a second to recommend Dr Higashi for wisdom tooth surgery. 11/10, would get teeth removed again at Higashi's.
