Money is raised throughout the year in several ways. The charity holds one fundraiser on the first Sunday of the Calgary Stampede called Black Tie & Blue Jeans Dance and Silent Auction. This year the 17th annual Black Tie & Blue Jeans fundraiser will take place on Sunday July 10th, 2011 at the Westin Hotel. For the past seven years Dreams Take Flight Calgary has been honored to benefit from the Cardel Homes Golf Tournament that is held at the Stewart Creek Golf Club in Canmore, Alberta. Dreams Take Flight also sells Dreams Take Flight logo merchandise and accepts donations to finance the program. Dreams Take Flight also depends on corporate donations from companies and businesses in the community.
