Amy Cote has a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology from the University of Calgary, and Masters of Science, Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University. She is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a Clinical Fellow with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). She has been practicing for approximately ten years and has a wide range of experiences from youth to seniors, and multi-stressed and complex needs individuals and families. She also serves as the President of the Alberta Division of the AAMFT and a board member of the Canadian Association of Marriage & Family Therapy (CAMFT). Her designation with the AAMFT and College of Alberta Psychologists allows her to license or guest license across the 50 states, as well as Quebec, the Maritimes, Ontario, British Columbia and Saskatchewan in Canada. Along with private practice, Amy is the Clinical Director of iRecover Treatment Centers. Her areas of expertise include:

To continue her professional growth and ensuring quality and ethical services are delivered to her clients, she meets monthly and as needed with a Registered Psychologist and Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Approved Supervisor with over 25 years experience. As well, she attends relevant workshops and two conferences a year to maintain her skills and knowledge.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and volunteering at community events. She has strong roots in rural Alberta and enjoys going back to the family farm to spend time with her Grandparents. Amy is actively involved in athletics such as slo-pitch in the summer and a women's basketball league in the Winter. She also has a passion for baking crazy cupcakes and fancy cakes for her friends and their families when there is time! She also makes time for self-care by going to the gym daily, balanced eating, and making sure she gets enough rest in a day.
