About Earls Willow Park

The Best Restaurant in South Calgary!

Earls Willow Park Description

We like to think of ourselves as a cutting-edge Earls that offers a little something extra. First off, Earls Willow Park Calgary Restaurant is more than just a great Earls location, it also has a full lounge for your drinking and socializing pleasure. It's a fantastic place to watch the game with your buds, get the gang together for a good old fashioned chinwag, or to simply enjoy a tasty beverage or three. And there's the perk that Earls fine menu is there whenever you feel peckish. The restaurant, one of the biggest in Calgary, is classic Earls: West Coast warmth combined with a splash of urban chic and a dash of fun. And of course, there's the requisite Earls patio for summertime shenanigans. We'll do whatever it takes to make your Earls experience a fantastic one. . . every time.

You should also know that Earls Willow Park is a primo restaurant to sit back and watch the world go by: the people watching (or ogling, depending on your approach) is second to none. We're right on McLeod Trail, close to South Centre and Toys R Us, which means the view changes by the second. So the next time you and your closest pals (family, too) are on the trail for good times, good eats and good company, you know where to go. Hint: Earls Willow Park.

Recently hosted my dads 60th birthday there and everything was top notch

User

My first experience here was not the greatest, however I wrote a review on here and was contacted by the lunch manager. She was extremely professional, addressed pur problems, and invited us back for a second experience, which was last night. Our more recent experience was fantastic and deserves the 5 stars for sure. The hostesses were really friendly and brought us over to our table right away. Our server was Kianna, and she was really friendly, efficient, and overall just great at her job. The manager on duty came and spoke to us to learn a bit more and apologized for our previous experience. They took care of us really well, and due to their willingness to rectify the situation and provide us with a better experience, we would definitely recommend now and will more than likely return in the future.

I'm from Bavaria in Germany and I've been there for dinner with my friends. They did everything to make sure everyone is happy. Really nice service (thank you Kylie)!! By the way, the best spareribs I ever had!

User

I never do this - leave reviews. But tonight I had incredible service and felt I needed to give kudos. Not only was the food excellent (it was), the service was over the top and of a quality that's rare these days.

User

Haven't been to this location in a few years. they did a nice upgrade of the patio. Service was good food was great

User

Had lunch with my mom and had a really great experience. The food was great and the service was even better. Our drinks were always topped off without having to ask. Thank you so much to our server, Brett. We will definitely be back!

User

Food was fresh and hot, service was friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend.

Will start by saying that Earls is great and I have been a patron for years, but their new late happy hour starting at 9 is an absolute joke! The pizza for example is half the price, but it's also half the size! Go to cibo for their late special and you pay $7 for the pizza that is usually $18, they don't bring you some little pizza the size of a side plate. Earls is awesome but I'm really disappointed with their new specials, like did they think no one would notice they just cut the portion sizes in half?

User

We'll arrived at 7:10 as a group of 3 for snacks and cocktails on the patio. Everything seemed to start well but took a turn for the worse. It is i inexcusable to take 75 mins from arriving to get our first round of drinks. But apparently based o the comments from our server the bartender was busy and backed up. O It 1st round of snacks came just before our drinks. Food was very good all night and 2nd round of drinks took 44 mins. Server was polite and appeared happy however the level of attention and service was less than average. This has been normal of the past few visits. It's not brain surgery folks. What ever happened to training of employees in the service industry?

User

They get points for the nice patio and that's about it. The server was very slow to bring anything to us. When we finally had everything we needed, she then came to our table 3 times to ask how we were. The fish tacos left much to be desired. The batter on the fish was too thick and we waited so long for our food... I think they forgot to bring it out because it was cold.

User

Service was good with Emmanuel around... food was good but a little salty... expect us to come back ... family of 11 for now😊Oh dessert is still family's all time favourite: sticky toffee chocolate pudding and the peanut butter skillet cookie! I had the oven roasted salmon😍😋steak is still one

Of the best in Calgary!

Probably won’t be returning to this location. No one seemed to know what was going on. Food was meh. No kids menu. Fries were over done. I couldn’t even stab them with a fork. Great coffee tho. My only complaint is that if I asked for a refill, I had to surrender my half full cup before receiving the new one. Same for dipping sauce. Hubs burger was still red inside. I wasn’t impressed. Service was good. Waitress was polite and kind. I’m glad I had a gift card or I would’ve been really disappointed. Thanks anyway.

User

Today the bar was full of customers which meant the music volume was very high and made conversation difficult.

The service was great as usual, the waitress was engaging and honest in her assessment of the menu and quality of the food.

The meals varied in quality, the Cajun Prawns starter to share was full of flavour but only contained one piece of garlic toast.

The mains were ok, Cajun salmon was ok, slightly overcooked but adequate. The other meal, Cajun ribs and chicken combo was disappointing, the fries were straight out of a supermarket, the coleslaw was just cabbage and mayo, not what it used to be and is certainly the result of a cost cutting measure.

Overall I feel the standard of the food is being compromised by a desire to reduce costs.

User

It's gone downhill, we've been in Vancouver and here in Calgary and standards have definitely slipped over the years. I had the Cajun chicken and ribs combo which was ok but the coleslaw was basically cheap mayo with a bit of cabbage swimming in it (it used to be a mix of red and green cabbage, carrots with very little mayo made in house I suspect) the fries were no better than McDonalds. Wine, a bottle of Sonoma La Crema was $56 compared to $24.69 in Superstore LiquorStore horrendous mark up. Will not return as it was $110 for one starter (Cajun prawns which were lovely at $12), two mains, one beer and 2 wine, for that money I expect better food. Husband had salmon fillet (over cooked), spoonful of rice and asparagus, $20. Only good side was the waiting staff who are as pleasant as ever

User

Had the Super Avocado Toast! Absolutely amazing! It is now among the foods i will crave! Ordered a side of hash browns they were swimming in rosemary and terribly overcooked no way I could eat them and my husbands fries he called the the broken ends of McCain super fries. His comment on his burger was I've had better. Our service was really slow and awful. Got drinks right away but they were long gone before we saw our waitress again to order our meal. We were half way done our meal before we could get the waitresses attention and ask for salt and pepper. I am hopping to get hubby back so i can have super toast again but we will see!!

User

Wish I could give it less than 1 star. Literally just got served with raw chicken....not partially cooked, completely raw in the Kung pao. Then after having it be acknowledged as ‘disgusting’ repeatedly and told it should ‘NEVER’ happen, that the kitchen would be reprimanded, and having the GMs card shoved in my hand ‘in case you guys get sick or something’....asked if I needed the machine to pay.....still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor.

Went to Earls for my daughters birthday December 23 and it was so not impressive . It took forever to even get our first round of drinks as we watched several tables that were sat way after us get served . Then we finally get our order in the appetizer comes out and it's cold ( pet peeve ) then comes the mains barely any dressing for salads and my daughters burger is totally burned ( of course the Birthday girls dinner ) we were there almost 2 hrs at this point so when they offered to make another we just didn't have the time to wait anymore! Definitely not the quality & service one would expect at Earls and sad it had to happen on a special celebration .

User

The Earls on McLeod trail has got to be the worst service I've ever had. Our server was a beautiful girl with a crap attitude. Ruining our experience. Especially when we're paying high for mediocre ish. This girl has the audacity to roll her eyes while she is seeing what we are tipping her (lucky she even got any) and walks away to talk crap with her coworkers throwing pens around. An hour dinner took 3 because she kept forgetting and just didn't care. Girl bye.

Saturday Dec. 9th. I orderder an 8oz steak frites, for $23, and a chicken feccuni alfredo for $18.50. After asking 3 times if the steak meal came with fries I was assured it came with 2 orders of fries. The total was a bit over $50 including my $5 tip. When I arrived hime with my meal, i opened up a giant box with nothing but the steak. Not topping, no fries, nothing. A carboardbox and a fried steak no sauce on it nothing. The $18.50 alfredo was in a much smaller box maybe the size of a toddlers hand. After going back to earls the manager was no where to be found and they refused to give me cash back. They said they will have to deposit the money back into my account. It is now 2 days later and i have not received my money. As far as I am concerned the staff here are nothing short of useless. I had to leave hungry and withour my money. I will be following up in person tonight when i get home from work, and i will not be leaving with at least my cash back in my hand.
