Dr. Newman is the best dentist I have come across . He sets needles you don't feel , so for the needle phobics out there you wont feel a thing.
I just had my teeth cleaned by Kayla who is very friendly, gentle and does a great job. Red flag me because "I'll be back"

I just want to say thank you for all you guys have done for me. I walked in terrified I will never smile again and now Dr Newman is building me a new smile. I want to thank you ladies for making me feel welcome and making this a positive experience. I will be telling everyone I know go to EastPort Dental. After my experiences in Strathmore I was terrified to ever set foot in a dental office. Oh and today Dr Newman took out the 2 teeth that a previous dentist gave up on and he did it in less than 10 min. So thank you again

I first saw Dr. Newman when I thought I lost a filling. I turned out that there was a huge cavity in my tooth, even though I just had a check up not that long ago. He took time to show me the cavity on the x-ray and in my mouth. He gave me the best freezing ever!! I didn't feel it at all!! Once he started the filling, he showed me again how big the cavity was. I couldn't believe it! Afterwards, I was expecting to feel sensitivity on that tooth for days as this has happened with all my past fillings, but it never happened! Absolutely Fantastic! Then I had my teeth cleaned. The hygienist was Gentle and thorough! My teeth have never felt so clean! The ladies at the front desk had all my insurance information figured out. My plan is 100% coverage and for the first time ever, I didn't have to pay a balance! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Newman and his lovely staff!

I had my wisdom teeth taken out at Eastport Dental. The dental staff did a great job at keeping me calm as i was very nervous to get this done. Dr. Newman is amazing with needles as I could barely feel them. And as for pulling the teeth (which I was previously referred to an oral surgeon by another dentist), Dr. Newman ensured I was comfortable the whole time and I had a great healing process afterwards and went to work the next day only experiencing discomfort for a day or two. I was given pain killers to help just in case but I did not even take them. I would highly recommend this dentist to anyone as the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly :)

I am speechless at the quality of dental service provided and genuine care of Eastport Dental Team from the second I walked in their door to the moment I left the chair. The level of care and politeness at every level is fantastic. Starting with Roxann at front desk to Dr. Alex's assistant Kristen, the hygienist Kayla, to Dr. Alex Newman himself (he's an absolute perfectionist - but with tact and his bedside manner is so welcoming), everyone went an extra mile to offer me the comfort I needed. Leaving aside the amount of confidence their dental work left me with, I just can't say enough for the level of service your dollar gives you. That being said, they are also extremely efficient at liaising with your insurance company for estimates and approval and very up front with all the costs, never proceeding without your approval first or presenting a few options. Leaving reviews isn't a common occurrence for me but I have found a dentist for life and I wish you can find too! Thank you for everything.

Went here for a number of years until Dr Newman botched a mandibular block and damaged the nerve in my jaw. The result was semi permanent numbness In my toungue and lost of taste that lasted several months. Needless to say I was terrified that the nerve damage was permanent. When I went I to speak with the dentist and he was confident the feeling would return and unsympathetic. I was angry that he didn't even care that my toungue was numb and I could barely taste anything. This drastically effected my life causing weight gain because I over salted and sweetened my food and drink. He was a talented and knowledgeable dentist however after butchering my mouth he didn't even examine me or care that my life was being effected by his sloppy dentistry.

I am very exited when I see how great my smile is now after dr. Alex Newman helped me. He solved all cavities with almost no pain and the root canal procedure was just a piece of cake. I totally recommend dr. Alex Newman, general dentist at Eastport Dental Centre, in Calgary, for all general and cosmetic dentistry. In case you are still afraid of a dentist, this is the place to go for a cure.

Office is clean and organized.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
Dr.Newman is an amazing dentist.
I have high anxiety sitting in the chair and he made it calming.
