EatLittle™ is a swallowable pill that swells in the stomach upon contact with its gastric fluids and water taken with the capsule.

In November 2004, EatLittle Inc. filed their first patent (in a series of patents) which teaches the art of forming temporary, permeable, controllable pseudobezoars for the non-invasive, long-term sustainable gastric volume reduction in humans. Bezoars, the inspiration for our work, are volume-taking foreign bodies existing in the gastrointestinal tract of mammals, which are usually formed after systematic ingestion of hair (tricho-bezoars), some fruits or vegetables of high and specific fiber content such as persimmons (phyto-bezoars) or as a result of ingestion of substances and objects that cannot easily pass through the sphincters of the gastrointestinal tract (pica). Bezoars formed in the stomach and /or the intestines have been known to induce early satiety.

EatLittle Inc. aims to be the market leader in the non-invasive treatment of obesity through gastric volume reduction. Our mission is to research, develop and market a family of ingestible capsules for controlled reduction of gastric volume from inside the stomach, thus inducing a feeling of satiety in customers, decreased food intake and sustainable weight loss.

EatLittle Inc. is a limited liability biotechnology research and development company that was incorporated in Calgary, Alberta, in September 2005 to research, develop and market a proprietary technology owned by it. The proprietary technology offers a non-invasive way of reducing body weight through dynamic gastric volume reduction which has been found to be effective in inducing early satiety and a sensation of fullness, thus contributing to long-term reduction in food intake, and to sustainable weight loss.
