As you walk through the hall at EDAC you’ll notice our gallery, it’s comprised of current student and alumni work of all sorts!
Game designers working tirelessly on their group VR project
The billboard project:
Students hand letter and design a print to fit the miniature billboard,
Then they photograph and edit the billboard into another environment.
This place changed my life. Thank you to the amazing staff, I could not have found a better school for me.
This course was bananas! Even though I've had previous experience, I have learned so much more, just making my work tight!
Learned a lot more than just game design. I came out a better person entirely. Such amazing staff at EDAC, would definitely recommend to anyone. I would even take another course if I shall ever come into the money.
Just graduated the video game design program and all I can say is this if you want to go into the video game industry, go to Guru it is the best choice and you learn what other schools teach in 3-4 years in only eight months not to mention that you get to meet members of the growing video game industry here in Edmonton, this college is your best choice for going into the video game industry.
If you want to learn the arts, hands down go to EDAC. You won't regret it.
I took the digital illustration and sequential art course here and i loved it. The staff is so kind and because it's such a nice, small school you get to have lots of one on one time with your teachers.
I learned tons about the field that i want to get into and how to build a portfolio around my goals.
I had trouble finding a school to go to for awhile bcz most didnt have much to do with concept art or straight up didn't allow fantasy art altogether. Which is why im so sooo glad a past student from here told me about EDAC.
C: thanks guys!
I owe a lot to my education from Guru, I'm proud to recommend the program at any chance I get. Farming and ranching way out in the middle of no where SK, I've used my Guru skills and operated a graphic design business out of my office for the past 7 years. I love telling people what I do for a living (both the ranching and the designing!) and feel extremely fortunate that I have such incredible opportunities that allow me to grow a business out of my home while raising my kids and running around with cattle during the day. I live the lifestyle I want with my business and I'm truly thankful for the unique education and experience I received at Guru. Not only was I taught about software and theory, but about business practices and project management. It really gave me the skills and confidence to strike out on my own and be successful.
Freaking fantastic faculty full of friendly folks.
Best 10 months of my life
Any college that invites me to a free evening of community connection, creativity, and curiosity has my vote for post-secondary institution of the year!
Although it's been a many years since I attended the school, I still use the knowledge and skills I acquired at Guru every day and continue to recommend the school to others.
