I had the greatest experience at the wildflower grill, that renewed my faith in humanity. Last night I decided to meet a blind date at the wildflower that a friend of mine set me up with. I arrived at the restaurant early and ordered a glass of wine, when the date arrived he looked down at me and said

" I cant do this your not my type " then left and texted me after that he was looking for someone younger and prettier. The wonderful server who overheard this would not let me pay for my glass of wine and offered me to stay for dinner. The restaurant bought me dinner, I was crying the whole time and i was truly hurt. Thank you #wildflower for restoring my faith in humanity. I will definitely tell my friends in #vancouver to stop by your place when in town.

Current and reliable. That’s all I look for in a news source and the E.J. Has proven to be just that and more.

User

If there is a better city paper, I've not seen it. The Edmonton Journal has a nice balance. I am a newspaper addict living in Phoenix, Albertans you have it good, and when you can't deal with the cold any longer, come on down.

User

There is some merit and good people like Paula and Liane but I can't abide Staples, he is such a Lorne Gunter blowhard wanna be.

And the general right of centre slant of most everything is so pathetic. I won't be surprised nor sad when it finally goes under.

I am just going to put an idea out there regarding distracted driving /on your cell phones, I think with all of our technology out there that we need to install a simple answer for this problem, and here it is, ,scrambler installation, every car, truck, what ever is driving on our roads should be mandatory to have a scrambler installed, no exceptions, and here's how it works, your phone will work in your car, until you put it in gear, then no service, if you need to use the phone while in your car, it has to be in park,as soon as you put it in gear, that's it! The solution is that obvious please share this with everyone and bring it to the table, ,,,,,,

User

The Edmonton Journal. A nice newspaper for our civil servants to read and enjoy. But does it reflect the views of mainstream Albertans? No, not so much.

User

Integrity and professionalism are zero now that you have attacked Creep Catchers with a post that says it all (1) Slandering and Defamation of an organization protecting children from online predators (2) Editor allowing this to be posted is irresponsible for it's legally and morally wrong. Caricature depicted of CC is not funny. Parents and children are following your page. Proliferating pedophilia brings injustice to all victims. Because of this, good luck. You have placed yourselves in a predicament of being questioned about your moral standards about pedophilia, child rape, and your weak stance in protecting children's rights.

User

If you plan on trying to have any sort of discussion on any of their posts be ready for headaches. I don't know what sort of system they are trying to use for their comments but all your facebook notifications will only take you to their website and goodluck getting the comments to actually load there. Seriously even just liking something gives me errors 4/5 times.

I don't know what's causing it but these problems make the page seriously nonfunctional. Get these on both my phone and my desktop using different browsers on both so I doubt it's an isolated issue.

User

Great paper, have been getting it for about 32 years. Enjoy reading it. BUT, beware of what they are charging you. I received a letter from Gerry Raypold, Operations Manager and was told I would be paying $33.60. Got charged $39.90. Phoned. Said yes, $39.90 it is.. Thought well, have a letter that differs so phoned again and was told nope, it's $33.60. Continued to get charged $39.90. After about four hours of phone conversations and holding, I think have managed to get reimbursed for the overcharge (which they still deny) by having a month subscription without paying. At that time, my subscription will end by my choice. Poor poor customer service for a long time Journal subscriber. So heads up, check what you are getting charged ! But don't expect it to be a short fix if you are being overcharged !

User

Alberta publishers are very concerned that the Edmonton Journal is discontinuing the Edmonton Bestseller list. It is an important feature of the paper for both publishers and the public. We have many great authors that we publish who need a voice, and the Bestseller List is important. Please don't shut it down.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! My father in laws photo was NOT up as promised until after 12 hours!! The best they can do is refund your $35 on line fee after they rake you for an add with them! Dereck is extremely RUDE!!! One would think they could have someone with customer service skills working with grieving families! But on NO! You get that miserable thing who said all I can do for you is give you the $35, you want that or nothing?? WTF? Great job!

User

They have lost all Journalistic Integrity and no longer offer fair and balanced news. I've also noticed my comments and others being deleted, and my comments were in no way offensive. You can chalk up the Edmonton Journal as one more media company that is responsible for the destruction of the 4th estate.

User

The Edmonton Journal has gone seriously downhill in the past few years. Once a good paper, thy got rid of most of their talent and kept a bunch of lifestyle writers who act mostly as city shills, the editorial board is made up of a bunch of puppets who's strings are pulled by their Postmedia overlords, The paper has very little actual journalistic content, it is a mere shadow of it's former self

User

Not only did the Edmonton Journal delete my comment on their March 12 article, "Ripe for a rethink: Why the anti-GMO crowd can't have it both ways," but they offered no explanation for deleting it. Edmonton Journal gets 1 star for their anti-democratic censorship and failure to explain why they won't accept criticism for blatantly peddling industry propaganda on behalf of the agrochemical/ biotech industry.

User

No longer a paper that I trust. Most articles seem written with the intent to increase polarization of the left and right. Really disappointing.

I have experienced the same egregious censorship when I attempted to post a comment supporting the University of Alberta’s decision to honour David Suzuki with an honorary doctorate: As an alumna of the University of Alberta I am very proud of my alma mater in honouring the great citizen of Canada, David Suzuki, who has dedicated his entire life to the teaching of biological sciences and to promoting public understanding of ecology. As a native Calgarian who no longer calls Alberta home I am saddened by the views expressed in response to this very biased article. Quaecumque vera!
