About Ellerslie Curling Club
Established in 1962 our club has seen the City of Edmonton grow around us. We have 6 sheets of ice, with leagues 7 days a week!
Ellerslie Curling Club Description
The Ellerslie Curling Club has both competitive and recreational leagues for men, women, mixed, senior and junior curling teams for the 2014-2015 curling season. To get more information please contact the Ellerslie Curling Club – 780. 988. 5784.
All leagues are weekly except Sunday Mixed which is every second week. Senior leagues are half year (before and after Christmas) with 11 games each time. Junior curlers play in either a competitive league or instructional league dependent upon age and experience. When there are club bonspiels or special events regular league curling may be interrupted. All regular league curlers have the opportunity to compete for club championships.
Adult Learn to Curl will be offered again this season. Classes begin September 27th, ( Saturday mornings) class time is 10 AM to Noon. Brooms, grippers and sliders are available for use during this class. This was a very popular class last season, you will learn the basics of curling-delivery of stones-sweeping-game strategy, and will have the opportunity to participate in games as well.
This year we are again offering an Open Beginner League (any combination of players) on Sunday afternoons. This league plays 12 weeks at 3: 30 pm - 5: 30 pm. Open to all curlers with little to no experience.

Did you watch our Canadian Team win the Gold, in the first ever mixed doubles event, at the Olympics? Did you think....that looks like fun? We are excited to announce a new league starting this fall/winter, Open Doubles! This league will take place Wednesday Nights, at 8:45pm start time. It's $175/curler for 10 games. There will be one session before Christmas and a new one after Christmas! Please contact the club to get your spot!
We are still in need of donations for our silent auction. The proceeds help with the upkeep and maintenance around the club. Please contact us if you are willing to help out with a donation.
