Elves Special Needs Society

M.P. Kelly McCauley visited the Elves Adult Program early this week in support of the Service Canada-Canada Summer Jobs students Tianna and Marco. Kelly speaks to an Adult Program client about how the staff are meeting his needs.

We're getting ready to welcome back our students, and eagerly await their smiling faces! First day of classes for School Program students is August 30. First day of classes for 800 hour ECS children is September 4. First day of classes for 475 hour ECS children is September 6. First day of classes for 600 hour ECS children is September 10.

Elves wished to extend its gratitude to MAZON Canada for providing $2,000 toward our Basic Shelf Program, which teaches families the basics of planning and preparing nutritious, cost-effective meals.
MAZON Canada raises funds, primarily within the Jewish community, and grants those funds to Canadian organizations battling hunger on the front lines, Thank you MAZON Canada for your continued generosity!

Thank you to the generous students at Sister Annata Brockman Catholic School who raised $465 for Elves! Thank you to parent Ashley for supporting this initiative.

Thank you Shalom Ministries of Cranbrook for generously donating to Elves School Program. The donation enabled a classroom to purchase colourful accessories, sensory items, and toys. The students particularly enjoy the items with lights!

Getting ready for Canada Day and having fun with Member of Parliament, Kelly McCauley, who brought cake and flags to Elves Adult and Youth Centre! Mr. McCauley also presented certificates to our School Program Grade 12 graduates.

We have had our son in your Early Education program for the past month and already the changes are AMAZING! I can not say enough good things about the teachers, the program and Elves in general. You are truly changing our lives for the better. Thank you!!!

This school is the best..my son been going for 2 years now he was non verbal an non social..now he’s slowly talking an loves playing with his classmates..best dissuasion I made was getting him enrolled in this school ���

The end of January will mark 1 year at Elves for my boy and last year at this time he was virtually non-verbal and now 1 year later he is talking in short sentences, I am amazed at how far he he came after 4 months and now almost 1 year. The staff are truly amazing and so supportive. I am going through some challenges with him right now regarding behavior and the support from the school has been more than I could ever dreamed.

Great memories made working at EEEP. Also, my son has been successful in school so far thanks to his teachers and EA's and all other staff at ELVES main campus.
