ETIP is specifically designed for internationally educated engineers seeking rapid and effective integration in the Canadian engineering field.

Engineers' And Technologists' Integration Program Description

The Engineers' and Technologists' Integration Program (ETIP) is a unique bridging program designed for internationally educated engineers who want to work in their field of expertise.

Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial Electronics and Chemical engineers have been served through ETIP in the past years.

The Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers (EMCN) offers the ETIP each year from January to November and a second program from June to April the following year. This is a program specifically designed for internationally educated engineers seeking rapid and effective integration into the Canadian engineering field.

The purpose of the ETIP Program is to facilitate the professional accreditation and labour market access of internationally educated engineers through training which meets local business demand by developing participants' English language proficiency and assisting in their adapting and improving of previously learned skills to Canadian Standards.

ETIP is offered as a partnership between:

Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers (EMCN) –an immigrant serving agency in Edmonton since 1981, recipient of Laurel Awards in 2002 member of the Alberta Association of Immigrant Settlement Agencies (AAISA) and the Canadian Immigrant Settlement Sector Alliance (CISSA).

Association of Science and Engineering Technologist Professionals of Alberta (ASET) –with expertise in providing credential assessment, recognition of professional qualifications, and Member of the Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists (CCTT)

Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) –one of the largest technical institutes in Canada with a reputation for providing leading edge technology training and career development, recipient of national accreditation from the Canadian Technology Accreditation Board (CTAB) for its engineering technology programs.
