Following the successful conclusion of our inaugural virtual edition last October, we're proud to bring you the 2nd annual edition of the – "Enhancing Patient Experience with Digital Innovation" scheduled to be held in-person in Miami, FL on January 30 – 31, 2023. The COVID-19 pandemic underscored the need for new and innovative technologies, accelerating the adoption of new digital health tools. While many health plans and providers have embraced virtual services as an opportunity to improve outcomes and reduce costs of care, the day-to-day implementation may not be living up to its promise. Some physicians have trouble integrating these new tools and services into their clinical workflows, while others may face cumbersome barriers to providing care. From a patient perspective, what is ultimately important? Access, connection, caring, good communication and positive outcomes - has not changed. The remarkable digital innovations introduced in healthcare in the last few years, accelerated by the pandemic, are all meant to improve the care delivery. But more attention needs to be given to the patients' point of view of these innovations. There is not a great deal of evidence that the multitude of such digital technologies have actually improved the patient's experience – from their point of view. BII World Ltd.
