Ethos Bridal

I went to Ethos looking for a dress this past weekend. I was very impressed with their customer service. Sheila was the consultant who helped me. She had a lot of great ideas and was very helpful. I find dress shopping to be a little stressful. She definitely removed the stress from the experience and made me feel comfortable. I also really appreciated her being upfront about alteration and dress prices. She did a great job of staying within my budget, avoiding anything that was too expensive. I haven't picked a dress yet. Even if I don't end up getting a dress from Ethos, I still had a great experience and would highly recommend them.

I was from out of town didn’t know you needed an appointment they helped me right away. I came in thinking what I want but they suggested a bunch of dresses and colours I never thought of. It turns out I looked amazing in all of the grad dresses they suggested. I went in looking for a two piece and got a a line ball gown in baby blue. They were so accommodating and help me so much, I am definitely happy with my purchase and can’t wait for the alterations to see them again.❤️❤️❤️

I was able to find my dream dress at Ethos! I've been looking for this dress for months and it was awesome to finally be able to try it on. My consultant Sheila was incredible, and she made our experience so great! We had such a fun time shopping for my dress at Ethos. The atmosphere of the boutique was lovely, it was very professional in there. Would highly recommend!

Horrible!!! I went to Ethos approx. 8 months ago and found a beautiful gown. The lady that was helping me told me that this dress had just come in and the tag was still on it. I tried it on and it was quite big but the tailor was there on hand and told me the alterations would not be more then $200. I was very specific with my budget and they were quite understanding.
I came back to Ethos last weekend for my first fitting and they quoted me over $700. I explained to the tailor this was not the quote from the first tailor and I would have never purchased the dress if I knew it would be that high. The manger got involved and said that they had the best alteration prices in Calgary. While I was discussing the prices with my family the alterations lady took my dress and took it to their warehouse to which the manager said she didn't have the key for so I had to come back.
When I went back to pick up my dress there was a huge tear at the back of my dress and I told her I needed that fixed. The sales lady there told me it was a dress from the floor and they would not repair it. My friend showed her pictures of the tag on the dress and told her we bought it brand new and that we would not be paying for the damage done to the dress.
I was able to find an awesome tailor who charged less then half the amount Ethos was charging me.
All I want to say is be careful when buying a dress from Ethos as they are not honest with you and just want to make a sale.

I just got my wedding dress from Ethos, and there is no way that I could say a bad thing about either of my appointments. Lori was beyond amazing and made sure that I found something I loved. She made me plus my entire party feel welcome. I am lucky to have had her for my appointments, she made the experience something I will always remember and cherish. I would send any of my friends getting married to Lori!

I had an amazing experience here, the ladies were wonderful and so encouraging. They accommodated me and my budget in order to allow me to get the dress of my dreams...plus as an extra treat they brought out chocolate and champagne for me and my girls to celebrate me saying yes to the dress! Loved it!!

I would not recommend Ethos to anyone in this entire world! You could not pay me to go back to this store. I’ve been to multiple bridal stores in Calgary and my experience could not have gone worse at Ethos. From the moment I walked in the door, I never felt welcomed and never felt comfortable. The front entry way was dirty, unmarked and I didn’t want to take my shoes off. Initially, the associate helping me didn’t want my 2 friends to browse dresses with me. She was trying to get them seated immediately and I was pushed into a room before I was able to look at the dresses in the showroom. I was only allowed to pull three dresses at the beginning when I was the only person in the store. The associate continually pulled styles I specifically said I didn’t like. My one hour appointment ran over by 5 minutes and management REFUSED to let me try on my favorite dress again at the end. The associate couldn’t push us out of the store fast enough. The associate didn’t handle herself professionally, she was pushy, and she made no small talk or effort to find out what I liked. She just awkwardly stood outside my room and hovered. I’m a size 4/6 and fit most sample dresses. It was a struggle for the associate to clip me and do her job. The manager stood behind the counter the entire time and offered zero assistance when she clearly needed help. She didn’t know her product and struggled to answer any question I asked. Prices were ridiculously high and quality of the dresses in the showroom was low. Many dresses had snags, missing buttons and looked very beat up. I will NEVER go back there and will NEVER refer this store to ANY bride or ANYONE looking for a dress of ANY kind. Run for the hills ladies, this place is a waste of your time!

I had a great experience at Ethos last weekend! I live 3 hours outside of Calgary, and I am so glad I drove all that way to find my dress! I had to cancel my original appointment two weeks earlier due to bad weather and they were extremely understanding and accommodating! During my appointment, I told Tara all the features that I was looking for and she was able to pull several dresses that matched what I was looking for, and I ended up finding "the one"!! She was extremely helpful and made great suggestions for altering my dress so that it would be perfect for me and be one of a kind! I had shopped at other bridal stores, and Ethos was by far the best experience!! And I didn't have to pay anything to book my appointment, which was an added bonus! To anyone who doesn't know where to start looking for your wedding dress in Calgary...start at Ethos!!

My mother, my sister and I called about 20 minutes beforehand and they squeezed us in which started the experience off on a great note. After trying several dresses on the lady helping us was really great and ended up helping us find my wedding dress! The next day Tara helped us figure out any alterations that I wanted done to the dress to make it exactly what I wanted! I am so grateful for all of Tara's help it definitely eased my mind knowing how accommodating they are at Ethos! Thank you so much for everything!!!
