I have been going to EvelineCharles Southcentre Salon for almost 10 years now. (new location in the mall is lovely) Over the years, I have had a number of stylists and found each and every one very professional and pleasant.
I'm currently going to Stephanie who is an excellent stylist and I am very pleased with my haircut today!
She has given me beautiful high lites and I highly recommend this salon.

I was recently referred by a friend to Wael at Evelyn Charles. He cut approximately 8 inches (which was a drastic change for me) and I am so in love with my hair! He was professional and made me feel comfortable when I got my hair done. He took the time to show me how to style my hair, something that no hair stylist has ever taken the time to show me. I left the salon that day feeling beautiful- I would highly recommend him!

The first time me and my mom decided to go here, we walked in on a Sunday afternoon asking to book an appointment for the next day, monday. The front desk lady asked us what time we would like, she had the whole night free. We said 5:30pm would be perfect. After confirming 5:30pm 3 times, we left the mall expected to be booked in at 5:30 the next day. While driving to the appointment we got a call form the front desk lady saying we were late for our 5:15 appointment. We nicely told the girl that we had just booked yesterday in-store and confirmed 5:30pm with the lady more then once. She didn't care or apologize, we said we were on our way. Once arriving at the store the snotty young blonde at the front desk gave us a look like we were not good enough to be in their salon. Anyway's proceeding to our services which was eyebrow threading, tint and eyelash tint, we came out and paid the large bill. The girl at the front desk asked us if we would like to re-book, hesitant we said yes as they give you a discount for re-booking. We asked to be booked in for the same services a month later, which actually ended up being family day. (we didn't care if it was a holiday or not). The girl booked us in for 5:30pm. Three days before the appointment they called us to let us know that they booked us in on Family day, and the mall would be closing early so they wouldst have enough time to do the requested services. They could not offer us any other time that day but instead offered us 4:30pm on the Sunday before. We declined the new time as it didn't work for us. On Family Day Monday we were at the mall anyways, we walked in yet again to book our appointments. we said" Hi, we had an appointment for today that we had to cancel as the mall is closing early, we would like to book in for sometime this week or next" the same snotty blonde we have been dealing with each time looked at us and said " we don't have anything for today the mall is closing early" we relied " Yes we are aware as we JUST SAID, can we book in for another day" We requested to have all of the same services done and we ended up booking for the following Monday. We had requested to go with the same esthetician so we had asked for me to be booked in at 5:00pm and my mom at 5:30pm which would leave enough time for all services. Now finally arriving at the appointment on Monday (Feb 27), I arrived at 5:00pm only to find out that I was only booked in for eye brown threading not everything as I requested. I did not complain about the unbooked services. Once completed it was only 5:15 and my mom was not going to be there until 5:30. I politely said to the same blonde girl " My mom has an appointment at 5:30 and she is going to pay for my services, would it be okay if I leave" she told me un-politely that I couldn't leave without paying. I told her thats fine I will pay for it then. She pulled up the fine and had the stupidity to ask me if i had just had my eyebrows threaded twice LOL. I said no, obviously not, my mom has an appointment at 5:30 and its all on the same profile because she will be paying for me. She finally clued in and said it would be fine for me to leave then. So I left. Once my mom arrived they told her she was once again late for her appointment at 5:15. She told them that she had clearly booked with this same girl she is talking to just a week ago for 5:30. She then also found out all of the services requested were not booked. The esthetician told her she didn't have time to perform the services requested. My mom let her know that this is the third time her appointment has been wrong or messed up in some way. She said sorry, that was it. After the eye brows were completed she went out to the front desk only to find out that they had somehow overwrited her contact information and they said they were trying to call her on a 780 number to tell her she was late for her appointment. They clearly had her phone number as they had called her twice before. The nightmare does not even end here but the character limit for the review is exceeded.

I have a major complaint about my experience at you Eveline Charles South Center location. When booking the appointment I opted to go with an intermediate stylist. I told the lady I would like a fire Baylage done on my hair which consists of Red Orange and Yellow. She then booked my appointment and quoted me $150 to $170 for my appointment. I went in for my appointment and was immediately told that what I had booked could not all be done in one session because she could not do a baylage of red orange and yellow until the red was already in my hair. I agreed that we could start with just the red. She then also told me about your hair protection formula that's used when bleaching and colouring to protect the hair from damage for an addition $40 I agreed to this and was now calculating that my final bill should be no more than $210 possibly less becuase I was not getting everything I originally asked for. three hours ten minutes later my hair is finished and I need to rush out because I was not expecting it to take nearly that long ( nor was I told how long it would take) and I get to the front to pay and I am told it will be $278 for my hair shocked and disgusted at the difference from my quote to the final but in a rush I threw cash at them and took off to my next appointment As I did not have time to debate my bill at that time. I am now wanting a refund for my service of $68 to make up for the difference in price from what I was expecting to what I got and I would like my secondary service of having the additional colour added to my hair at no charge. This was unexceptable and unprofessional to continue with a hair treatment without making the client aware of the cost of her services. I do understand that if more product is used or time taken prices can be altered but not once was an additional amount mentioned to me due to the time I was there or because of the amount of product used. On top of that I do not feel I should have been charged more because I was supposed to be having multiple colours put in my hair and only received one. I would also like to mention that I have had issues with Eveline Charles in the past in regards to booking other appointments. I had previously booked a massage at the Core location in calgary arrived for my appointment (I do not live or work downtown so it was a trip for me) and the massage therapist wasn't even working! I was then re scheduled at the south center location and received my service free of charge however I was still frustrated at my original trip and the lack of communication between your scheduling staff and your stylists.

I unfortunately have received no response from the company either by phone email or on facebook so I'm making my experience public so that everyone knows not to deal with this company

1 star isn't low enough to rate the call centre experience I just had
I was denied getting a relaxation massage because I have cancer????
I've gone to many other facilities and spas throughout my treatment and have never had an issue.
Very unimpressed
Have a gift card for there if anyone is interested.
