Meet Stephanie & Vanessa, Owners and Directors of Evolutions School of Dance!
You have probably seen us around the studio with our work bags and lap tops and/or children, or have caught yourself wondering who are the fabulous ladies who run this place? Well, this is us! We thrive on being busy and active - you will also see us at the studio as students in Miss Kyla's Pre & Post Natal Dance & Conditioning class. When we are not at the studio or working at each other's kitchen... tables, we are busy with our children - Stephanie has 4 kiddos (6, 3,5, 3.5 and 7 months) and Vanessa has 2 children (3.5 and 4 months). In our other life we are also certified school teachers - Miss Vanessa is currently on maternity leave with her baby, and Miss Stephanie has taken a break from teaching to focus on her family and the studio. Family and friendship is very important to us, so you will often see us together with our other sister, Miss Natalka, and many of the fabulous teachers here at ESD, who we call family.
We value learning and education, not only because we are educators, but also because we are life long learners - we can often be found listening to podcasts or reading books or articles, particularly on child development!
That's a bit about us! We love getting to know all of the children and their families at our studio, and are so glad that you chose our studio as a place for us to share our passion for dance and love of learning with you all!
We have so many exciting things planned for 2019, and can't wait to share it all with you! 2019 is going to be an amazing year! Thanks for joining us on the journey!

NEW session~ begins Monday January 14th 12-1pm Our Pre/Post Natal Mommy and Me Dance and Conditioning class at ESD is a time to enjoy a connection with your baby in a relaxed, playful way while increasing your own strength, flexibility and tone. This class will get you moving, allow you to bond with your baby and connect with other new mamas, all in a safe and welcoming environment for you (and your little partner)!
... This class is suitable for all pregnant (baby bearing) or postnatal (baby wearing) mothers. We welcome all levels of fitness and dance experience – both pre and post natal, as long as you have the clear from your medical provider to exercise and are able to wear your baby in a carrier for the duration of the class. With an emphasis on cardiovascular endurance, strength and flexibility, this class progresses at a rate that allows for accommodations and modifications in order to meet the need of each mama. We love Evolutions - wonderful faculty, directors, families and students. It is our dance home! Our daughter has danced with Evolutions for years - since just after her 3rd birthday. It is awesome to watch our kids all grown up together doing what they love.

We live in the Westhills area with several big name studios within a 5 minute drive of us (few of which we’ve tried), yet we choose the longer drive to Evolutions. Why you ask? Because Evolutions is not just a dance studio, it’s a dance family! Not only do they offer top notch instruction (and trust me, that’s very important to us!), but both the owners and the teachers are fantastic! They truly care about their students and their parents. They want to offer programs that the kids are interested in and constantly go above and beyond in organizing fun team bonding events which are completely optional. And if that’s not enough, chances are their year end recital isn’t what you’re used to either. Instead of watching one dance number after another which can take hours, they put on a real show! This year’s show is Beauty and the Beast with kids trying out for different parts. Lots of work for the organizers but how fun for the kids not to be doing the same old thing all year round. And all of this offered at a very reasonable price including the performance division. So if you’re like me, having paid way more for dance than you were putting away for your child’s future education, maybe it’s time to come try Evolutions. Trust me, you won’t be sorry. We’re very happy we switched last year.

This is our sixth year with Evolutions and both of my girls LOVE their dance family and literally would never want to dance anywhere else. Stephanie and Vanessa as well as all of their loving staff have worked hard to create a wonderful and encouraging environment for kids to explore their love of dance. Smaller class sizes and a huge emphasis on teaching core dance skills make them a cut above everyone else. I am super proud to be a part of the Evolutions Dance Family!!

This is my girls 2nd year with this studio and it has been amazing!! Nothing but positive things to say about the teachers and all the staff in general.

Such a wonderful place to learn and embrace dance! I have had so many fun times at ESD! The faculty is amazing and the variety of classes is wonderful! I would recommend ESD to people of all ages who have a love for dance!

I love working for a dance studio that supports one another and our students to be the best versions of ourselves. At Evolutions our goal is to make every single person feel welcome, supported and loved.

First class yesterday at small and tall with our 17 month old twins , so much fun worth the other kiddos

Evolutions school of dance is a studio like one we have never been at before. They are like family, the owners are kind, loving, supportive. I have 3 kids at Evolutions aging from 5-14 both girls and boy! My girls feel supported, confident and comfortable here. My son does not feel like the odd one out he feels like he was meant to dance and is able to fully engage in his classes feeing confident and strong. We are very blessed to be at this studio and grateful for the community the owners have worked so hard to build.

ESD is a top notch dance studio! What sets them apart (and above in my opinion) is the care and attention each dancer receives. It’s such an inclusive environment, and and although the competitive program is strong, all dancers are made to feel important and valued. Classes sizes are small, so dancers are given individual attention by highly trained teachers. The staff truly care about their students and take the time to get to know them. We were very pleased to be a part of the ESD family!
