UPDATE: Thanks to Gary and David at FOT. Since my original post. They have gone out of the way to make things right again. FOT ordered up a brand new trailer at a reasonable price compared to the original pre-owned that I was looking at. Gary kept me informed every step from when the trailer left the factory to when it was expected to be fdeliver to their site.



I understand that there are times when things go wrong, things get over looked and it is not a perfect world that we live in. However at the end of the day it is how a company like FOT is willing to takes a bad experience such as mine and makes and effort to try and turn it around into a good experience that sets them apart from others!



They also helped length the safety chain on the trailer as it was too short for the current setup I had on my vehicle. Did a walk around inspection, checked all the lights.

Very utmost disappointed with my visit at FOT today. Between Mar 16 and Mar22 there were 7 corresponding emails between myself and the sales team about a pre own trailer that I wanted to view and buy. Staff was very helpful at the time to determining my needs, matching a trailer with my vehicle, answering my questions and also suggesting alternate trailers. (Which I would give 5 stars for) I asked the sales team if an appointment was needed and they said, “No just give us heads up when you are coming.” Now the not so impressive part….



On the morning of Mar 21 - 955 am I sent an email to FOT stating I will be coming out the next day to view the preown trailer. In which the sales team responded “Thanks for the heads up see you tomorrow.” The sales team was previously informed I was from Banff and would be driving the +4 hour plus round trip (not including Calgary traffic) to their location in High River. I also had to change some appointments in Calgary to be able to make it out there.



The next day Mar 22 at 12:41 I sent another email “now leaving Calgary.” When I arrived at their lot. I was told that they sold the pre owned trailer yesterday afternoon. Even through I had sent them an email earlier than the sale that morning confirming I was coming to view the trailer. They told me they had a busy day yesterday and sold 35 trailers. That is great for them! And I get it they’re in the business to make $$. However they knew I was making the effort to come from Banff to see a specific trailer.



Another sale associate asked why I did not put a deposit down to hold the trailer? This option was NOT EVEN OFFERED to me! I do have emails of our correspondence. It should have been when I confirmed that I was coming to view the trailer in the first place! If this had been offered I would’ve done it instead of wasting an afternoon of my time driving for no reason.



It would have also been nice if they informed me that they sold the trailer when I sent the 2nd email at noon confirming once again that I was on my way from Calgary. All this correspondence and communication on my behalf I thought was more than enough indication that I was a serious buyer! Especially since I also asked about payment methods! My main reason for communicating with FOT was to ensure that this today’s scenario was NOT GOING TO HAPPEN and that I would not leave empty handed without a trailer and wasting my time. A big inconvenience and frustrating day!



They had no other trailers on the lot (out of the 500 that they claimed to have in stock) that meet my needs which was a 5x10 or 6x10 with ramp door, side door, and black. Which was expressed to them previously. While in their office looking at Kjiji I found a newer model of the preown one that I missed out on. I asked them about the new one and they also said it was sold! Both new and preown trailer was still reposted on Kijiji THAT MORNING when it was sold the day before.



Their only solution was we have this other trailer coming in a week for $1000 more than the one advertise. Was this just merely a scam sales tactic to get you out to their location and sell you on something higher in $$? Sure felt that way!



The sales team after searching did not finding anything. They said they would make it worth my while if I came back. But nothing was discussed while I was in the office of what was “worth my while” or what my options would be in my specificiations. Got back to Banff and still no follow up email of apologies or solutions. Very disappointed with my experience. And even if it was worth my while this would still mean ANOTHER trip back to High River and ANOTHER day wasted!



If a management would like to contact me about my unsatisfactory experience then please do so. I might be inclined to change my rating if a satisfactory solution is found. However because I felt like it was sales tactics to get me out there and try to sell me a higher price trailer I would give FOT a 0 rating if I could. Instead they get a 1 because FB will not allow me to give a 0 rating!



Currently trailerless! But on the brighter side I have extra cash in my hand now!

This is now our second trailer with this great bunch. Great service, no pressure, no surprises. Definitely worth the visit. Thank you Dave and Gary.�

The best service I have received in a long time. From The sales staff to the office staff getting this deal completed was absolutely amazing. My salesman Mark actually met me in the Walmart parking lot in Okotoks to sign and deliver the little cargo trailer I purchased at 9:30 pm as I was late getting in on my way to Kelowna . Went out of his way to buy me a 4 flat to 7 round trailer wire adaptor. Then I had issues with ICBC (no surprise there) in order to get plates and insurance in BC. I called the office and Ashley took over from there getting all the proper paperwork sent to BC. GREAT SERVICE !!!!!!!!���

Purchased a cargo trailer from these guys and boy were they on the ball! Very organized. I was in and then I was out in no time. All paperwork ready to go

I would like to that factory outlet trailers . for the opportunity to build another project . the trailer is exactly what I am looking for Geoff and the rest of the team are wonderful . the placement of the windows are exactly where I vision them to be . the trailer keeps getting better and better every time I look at it . thanks again for all the help dealing with things by emails and phone . definitely worth the drive to deal with your team

I have bought 3 trailers from Geoff at Factory Outlet over the last few years and he has always answered all questions and made the buying experience quick and simple. I recently had my box tex dump trailer repaired and it was quick and very cost effective. I will continue to buy from here and tell other to do so as well.

Saw it online and called to see if it was available and when I found out it was I went to look at it.



It was way better than I expected compared to any other trailer I’ve seen in that size



Nice rugged construction with higher end lights and decking and it has rock guard on the front of it plus the fenders which was a huge asset for where I’ll be going with it.



The entire process was extremely smooth and every employee I talked with was very friendly and professional. My trailer exceeded my expectations



I highly recommend your next trailer purchase happen at factory outlet trailer.

Excellent service from Dave and the team! Had an issue with my vehicles wiring harness and Dave lent me the tools to get it working so I could take my trailer home the same day!

Better prices than US!!! Has the best selection for trailers any where!!!

We had some initial problems but the manager eventually corrected the issues.

I bought a wedge car hauling trailer from these guys and was ripped off and lied to . 3 months after buying a 30,000$ trailer I was pulled into the scales and told the trailer didn't comply to bc or Alberta regulations and had to move the axles back almost 3 feet get all new wiring for the brakes. They failed to inform me it was not legal in Alberta or bc. You would think that's something they would tell you when paying 30g. So if you ever buy a trailer from them make sure it's legal in your province cause they won't tell you they just wanna make the $$. I. Now have a trailer with wiring problems 9-10 v at the brakes and a warranty I do t no who to take it to as I don't trust these guys with a 5$ bill left on the table piss poor salesman and an importer that shouldn't bring in trailers that don't comply to the regulations. Until they are fixed and able to be sold in the province..

(Which I would give 5 stars for) I asked the sales team if an appointment was needed and they said, “No just give us heads up when you are coming.” Now the not so impressive part….



On the morning of Mar 21 - 955 am I sent an email to FOT stating I will be coming out the next day to view the preown trailer. In which the sales team responded “Thanks for the heads up see you tomorrow.” The sales team was previously informed I was from Banff and would be driving the +4 hour plus round trip (not including Calgary traffic) to their location in High River. I also had to change some appointments in Calgary to be able to make it out there.



The next day Mar 22 at 12:41 I sent another email “now leaving Calgary.” When I arrived at their lot. I was told that they sold the pre owned trailer yesterday afternoon. Even through I had sent them an email earlier than the sale that morning confirming I was coming to view the trailer. They told me they had a busy day yesterday and sold 35 trailers. That is great for them! And I get it they’re in the business to make $$. However they knew I was making the effort to come from Banff to see a specific trailer.



Another sale associate asked why I did not put a deposit down to hold the trailer? This option was NOT EVEN OFFERED to me! I do have emails of our correspondence. It should have been when I confirmed that I was coming to view the trailer in the first place! If this had been offered I would’ve done it instead of wasting an afternoon of my time driving for no reason.



It would have also been nice if they informed me that they sold the trailer when I sent the 2nd email at noon confirming once again that I was on my way from Calgary. All this correspondence and communication on my behalf I thought was more than enough indication that I was a serious buyer! Especially since I also asked about payment methods! My main reason for communicating with FOT was to ensure that this today’s scenario was NOT GOING TO HAPPEN and that I would not leave empty handed without a trailer and wasting my time. A big inconvenience and frustrating day!



They had no other trailers on the lot (out of the 500 that they claimed to have in stock) that meet my needs which was a 5x10 or 6x10 with ramp door, side door, and black. Which was expressed to them previously. While in their office looking at Kjiji I found a newer model of the preown one that I missed out on. I asked them about the new one and they also said it was sold! Both new and preown trailer was still reposted on Kijiji THAT MORNING when it was sold the day before.



Their only solution was we have this other trailer coming in a week for $1000 more than the one advertise. Was this just merely a scam sales tactic to get you out to their location and sell you on something higher in $$? Sure felt that way!



The sales team after searching did not finding anything. They said they would make it worth my while if I came back. But nothing was discussed while I was in the office of what was “worth my while” or what my options would be in my specificiations. Got back to Banff and still no follow up email of apologies or solutions. Very disappointed with my experience. And even if it was worth my while this would still mean ANOTHER trip back to High River and ANOTHER day wasted!



If a management would like to contact me about my unsatisfactory experience then please do so. I might be inclined to change my rating if a satisfactory solution is found. However because I felt like it was sales tactics to get me out there and try to sell me a higher price trailer I would give FOT a 0 rating if I could. Instead they get a 1 because FB will not allow me to give a 0 rating!



Currently trailerless! But on the brighter side I have extra cash in my hand now!

The best service I have received in a long time. From The sales staff to the office staff getting this deal completed was absolutely amazing. My salesman Mark actually met me in the Walmart parking lot in Okotoks to sign and deliver the little cargo trailer I purchased at 9:30 pm as I was late getting in on my way to Kelowna . Went out of his way to buy me a 4 flat to 7 round trailer wire adaptor. Then I had issues with ICBC (no surprise there) in order to get plates and insurance in BC. I called the office and Ashley took over from there getting all the proper paperwork sent to BC. GREAT SERVICE !!!!!!!!���

It was way better than I expected compared to any other trailer I’ve seen in that size



Nice rugged construction with higher end lights and decking and it has rock guard on the front of it plus the fenders which was a huge asset for where I’ll be going with it.

We had some initial problems but the manager eventually corrected the issues.

I bought a wedge car hauling trailer from these guys and was ripped off and lied to . 3 months after buying a 30,000$ trailer I was pulled into the scales and told the trailer didn't comply to bc or Alberta regulations and had to move the axles back almost 3 feet get all new wiring for the brakes. They failed to inform me it was not legal in Alberta or bc. You would think that's something they would tell you when paying 30g. So if you ever buy a trailer from them make sure it's legal in your province cause they won't tell you they just wanna make the $$. I. Now have a trailer with wiring problems 9-10 v at the brakes and a warranty I do t no who to take it to as I don't trust these guys with a 5$ bill left on the table piss poor salesman and an importer that shouldn't bring in trailers that don't comply to the regulations. Until they are fixed and able to be sold in the province..
