Canada child benefit (CCB) payment – July 20, 2016
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will issue the first Canada child benefit (CCB) payments on July 20, 2016 and the Alberta family employment tax credit (AFETC) payments on July 27, 2016. If you do not receive your CCB payment by July 27, 2016 and/or the AFETC payment by August 3, 2016, you may want to check on its status. Please note that the CRA cannot take any action before these dates. The CCB has replaced the Canada child tax benefit and the universal child care benefit. If you get your benefit payments by direct deposit, this will continue with the new CCB payments.

Individuals - Quarterly instalment payment reminder
This is a reminder that your next instalment payment is due on June 15, 2016. Paying online is quick and easy. Contact your financial institution to find out how you can use online banking to pay your taxes, or for more information about other payment methods, go to www.cra.gc.ca/payments.

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will issue the next Canada child tax benefit (CCTB) payments on May 20, 2016. If you do not receive your payment by May 27, 2016, you may want to check on its status. Please note that the CRA cannot take any action before this date.
Look for changes to the appearance of your July 2016 benefit notices. They will be more simple, consistent and the information will be better organized.

Universal child care benefit (UCCB) payment issuance – May 20, 2016
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will issue the next Universal child care benefit (UCCB) payments on May 20, 2016. If you do not receive your payment by June 3, 2016, you may want to check on its status. Please note that the CRA cannot take any action before this date.

We are happy to announce that we are working this weekend Apr 30th and May 1st, as the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has extended filing personal taxes by midnight of May 2, 2016.

Are you self-employed? Know your tax obligations:
As a self-employed individual, you and your spouse or common-law partner have until midnight on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, to file your 2015 income tax and benefit returns. Any balance owing for 2015 must be paid by April 30, 2016. However, as this date is a Saturday, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will consider your payment to be made on time if the CRA receives your submission or it is postmarked by midnight on May 2, 2016. A late-filing penalty on amounts owing may apply to returns received after the June 15 deadline.
