Wonderful hotel! When we arrived we at first were disappointed in our room. We’ve heard great things about the hotel so our expectations were set very high and we initially had a very small, dated room. After the first night we were then able to upgrade our room and we ended up with a beautiful, modern room with a beautiful view. Manthan was great at helping us with this. Aleita who sat for our boys one evening, and Sarah in concierge both were wonderful!! Aleita knew my boys loved this candy at the hotel so when we arrived at our next hotel they were greeted with bowls full of this same candy! A few days after our stay at a tourist destination 3 hours away, we ran into Sarah and she greeted us using our name! We were very impressed with this beautiful hotel and also with the staff who took such great care of my family while we were there. Highly recommend staying here!!
We just came back home from a luxurious perfect 7 day holiday in Banff! The weather was perfect and the hotel was magnificent and the 5th floor Gold Reception was above expectations! The concierges filled our days and evenings with exciting adventures to include horseback riding and Glacier Visit and wildlife excursions and Float Hoo Doo boat and Gondola rides. I especially want to celebrate Eric Sabetta who went above and beyond and was outstanding! Maxine and Keane were also above par! I would highly recommend this vacation! Best ever...
We had the pleasure of having our wedding reception at the Banff Springs Norquay room last weekend and could not have imagined a better time. The staff, Jackson and Colin, made sure all of our guests were well taken care of and wanted for nothing. The venue itself was a dream and the food was divine. I could not recommend this location more highly - it was a dream wedding!
Spent a night for our honeymoon, May 2018... Best stay ever!!! Yes, a little expensive, but well worth it! The castle's amazing and staff are the best I've ever seen! Very, very accommodating! A special thanks to JP, Rachel, Jake and Simon for making our stay extra special!!! The German restaurant was to die for! Surrounding scenery is amazing and ghost hunting was very exciting... I even had my own personal paranormal experience!!! I recommend this experience to all!!!!

This was one of the most phenomenal “Gold” experience ever.
The service was spectacular and so amazingly professional during the entire 5 days (May 6 to May 11-2018).
The concierge were truly professional, very informative (Keane, Michael, Maxime), thank you for facilitating the experience at the hotel and town.
Samuel, Hyde and Sybil extremely nice and thank you for your great service.
Room service was always perfect and timely just like home sweet home.
The resort is extremely clean, great spa, and food was great. So much to do, no boring moments and so many places to take great portraits 🌹
The views are amazing, wow!!!

I highly recommend the Fairmont Banff Springs. I personally travel every other week for work all across the states and I have to stay in hotels. I know great service when I see it. The service was super great at this resort. My expectations were met at 100%. Fairmont Banff Springs was truly an amazing experience!!!
My sister was recently married to the love of her life on April 14, 2018. Unfortunately, her new husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He had never seen the mountains and it was on his bucket list so they decided they wanted to honeymoon in Banff.
The staff at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel were beyond amazing!!! Right from the beginning they did everything in their power to make this trip an unforgettable experience for my sister and her husband. They were upgraded to a royal suite on the 9th floor with the most amazing views of the mountains and river. They brought champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in the shape of moose to their room. They brought specialty beers and snacks later in the day. They were given a private tour and provided a translator as my brother in law could not speak english.
They brought them to a VIP area which few guests get to frequent on the outside of the building in order to get the most amazing pictures over the river valley. They offered up valet parking at no charge as my brother in law needed a wheelchair at times when the cancer was aggressive.
The next day we went to Lake Louise and they called them before we left to make sure we had VIP treatment there as well.
My brother in law was so overwhelmed with his amazing treatment that he wept on several occasions. He could not stop telling everyone of his extraordinary experience.
Unfortunately, my brother in law lost his battle to cancer just two weeks after they left Banff.
My sister was so impressed with her experience there though that she and others talked of his trip and treatment at the Banff Springs Hotel in his eulogy.
I want to thank the staff for making the last days of my brother in law’s life so unforgettable. You are amazing people!
And a special thank you to JP and Rachel....your generosity of heart will not be forgotten �.
My husband treated me to dinner for my fiftieth birthday at The Chop restaurant within the Fairmont on July 4, 2018. The food was delicious, from the homemade bread, cheddar and bacon soup, filet mignon with peppercorn sauce, carrots glazed just so, and buttered mashed potatoes and a glass or two�� of Pino Noir � I was in heaven here on earth! Thank you so much. What a treat! Service was above and beyond. And because it was my birthday, they gave me a box of local chocolates. This New Yorker will never forget this special dinner. What a beautiful hotel, rich in character. �
Located at the best spot in Banff. I love and enjoy dinning at the Rundle Lounge. One of the best view on earth to me. Please come here for lunch or just a snack or drink.
Laura McRae, the manager was amazing. My daughter went to the manager with her fathers complaint and Laura calmly listened. Laura turned a bad situation into a positive experience at this truly amazing historic hotel. She made this trip our best family holiday at the most beautiful place in the world - Banff National Park
Hotel has got character - very classy. We tried the Royal Afternoon Tea and it was awesome. Beautiful view - overlooking the bow river, Banff Springs Golf course and the majestic mountains.
The sandwiches and the desserts are delicious and the choices of tea are quite extensive and all distinctly good.
One "royal" experience indeed and will definitely do it again and will also try the famous Weekend Brunch!
Great service all around! Kids really enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools. Man out front greeted us all evening with Mr. and Mrs McCarthy / I have to say I thought that was very professional - after only meeting him upon checkin I was very impressed that he remembered our name - great customer service.
Attended the BILD Alberta Spring Conference and the hotel did an amazing job! All meals were excellent and the staff were all outstanding. Would highly recommend holding your conventions at this hotel located in one of the most beautiful places in Canada 🇨🇦!
Apart from being a beautiful Hotel in a most wonderful setting , the staff are all welcoming & polite. I was very impressed by the staff member who looked after my room , she left me a note & a tube of toothpaste saying she noticed I had thrown out an empty tube , I did have another tube,but I thought that was excellent customer service, going the extra mile . I would recommend the Hotel
This place is mind blowing for the airport but when you get to the hotel you step into a world of elagance and simplistic beauty that just transcends into relaxation the mountain air will blow you mind and lungs... I would recommend.
Our room, the service, the setting, the bell staff and serving staff, the breakfasts and all of the spa facilities were five star. Unfortunately the banquet food was horrible. Food everywhere else in the hotel was fabulous. It is one of the finest hotels in the world. And if the banquet food gets it together it could make five stars. Banquets are a potential showpiece of a hotel. They need to pay attention to what they feed the guests.
This was the fourth Fairmont we stayed at during our vacation in Canada this past week. I must admit the service and staff was exceptional, however our rooms were certainly not worth the $900 a night rate. We had to wait for our room to be ready when we arrived, furniture in the room was chipped, the room and bathroom was small. Not the luxury I was expecting after reading other reviews.
The staff and concierge were immensely helpful and polite in arranging all our activities and reservations for us but the hotel itself was old and extremely crowded, it almost felt like a zoo. We had dinner at their French restaurant and the ambience was more of a casual brasserie/diner but at upmarket prices. Wouldn’t come back unless they had a major renovation (especially for the rooms)..
I was really disappointed, the hotel was recommended to me by a colleague as a fabulous hotel for 2 days rest and relaxation. I booked a room and got a 2 hour bus from Calgary but when I arrived the line for check in was literally queuing out of the door, I waited an age to check in and was processed without any information about the hotel or even how to locate my room. I found my room and thought it must be something else for $600 if the service is bad but no it was just a room, nothing special about it. I went down to ask the concierge how to get to the gondola but there was 1 concierge on duty and a huge line. I found my own way around, I had a beautiful dinner in the Italian restaurant and went to bed. The next morning there were workmen working on all the other rooms on my corridor being very loud all morning, not restful at all. I checked out and the lady was only concerned with how I was paying, she did not ask me if I enjoyed my stay or anything else. I will not be returning and not recommending this hotel.
Disappointed! Beautiful exterior and reception area but rooms leave a lot to be desired! Small and in desperate need of renovation. Our carpet was ripped, miss reading light that they did they couldn’t fix, furniture was in disarray, think they may have been working in the room and forgot to put it back, we had to do it. Bathroom so small it was difficult to move in. Also our view was over roofs of lower floors. Would not recommend. Have stayed in better two star hotels!

Man out front greeted us all evening with Mr. and Mrs McCarthy / I have to say I thought that was very professional - after only meeting him upon checkin I was very impressed that he remembered our name - great customer service.
Attended the BILD Alberta Spring Conference and the hotel did an amazing job! All meals were excellent and the staff were all outstanding. Would highly recommend holding your conventions at this hotel located in one of the most beautiful places in Canada 🇨🇦!
Apart from being a beautiful Hotel in a most wonderful setting , the staff are all welcoming & polite. I was very impressed by the staff member who looked after my room , she left me a note & a tube of toothpaste saying she noticed I had thrown out an empty tube , I did have another tube,but I thought that was excellent customer service, going the extra mile . I would recommend the Hotel
This place is mind blowing for the airport but when you get to the hotel you step into a world of elagance and simplistic beauty that just transcends into relaxation the mountain air will blow you mind and lungs... I would recommend.
Our room, the service, the setting, the bell staff and serving staff, the breakfasts and all of the spa facilities were five star. Unfortunately the banquet food was horrible. Food everywhere else in the hotel was fabulous. It is one of the finest hotels in the world. And if the banquet food gets it together it could make five stars. Banquets are a potential showpiece of a hotel. They need to pay attention to what they feed the guests.
This was the fourth Fairmont we stayed at during our vacation in Canada this past week. I must admit the service and staff was exceptional, however our rooms were certainly not worth the $900 a night rate. We had to wait for our room to be ready when we arrived, furniture in the room was chipped, the room and bathroom was small. Not the luxury I was expecting after reading other reviews.
The staff and concierge were immensely helpful and polite in arranging all our activities and reservations for us but the hotel itself was old and extremely crowded, it almost felt like a zoo. We had dinner at their French restaurant and the ambience was more of a casual brasserie/diner but at upmarket prices. Wouldn’t come back unless they had a major renovation (especially for the rooms)..
I was really disappointed, the hotel was recommended to me by a colleague as a fabulous hotel for 2 days rest and relaxation. I booked a room and got a 2 hour bus from Calgary but when I arrived the line for check in was literally queuing out of the door, I waited an age to check in and was processed without any information about the hotel or even how to locate my room. I found my room and thought it must be something else for $600 if the service is bad but no it was just a room, nothing special about it. I went down to ask the concierge how to get to the gondola but there was 1 concierge on duty and a huge line. I found my own way around, I had a beautiful dinner in the Italian restaurant and went to bed. The next morning there were workmen working on all the other rooms on my corridor being very loud all morning, not restful at all. I checked out and the lady was only concerned with how I was paying, she did not ask me if I enjoyed my stay or anything else. I will not be returning and not recommending this hotel.
Disappointed! Beautiful exterior and reception area but rooms leave a lot to be desired! Small and in desperate need of renovation. Our carpet was ripped, miss reading light that they did they couldn’t fix, furniture was in disarray, think they may have been working in the room and forgot to put it back, we had to do it. Bathroom so small it was difficult to move in. Also our view was over roofs of lower floors. Would not recommend. Have stayed in better two star hotels!
Wonderful hotel! When we arrived we at first were disappointed in our room. We’ve heard great things about the hotel so our expectations were set very high and we initially had a very small, dated room. After the first night we were then able to upgrade our room and we ended up with a beautiful, modern room with a beautiful view. Manthan was great at helping us with this. Aleita who sat for our boys one evening, and Sarah in concierge both were wonderful!! Aleita knew my boys loved this candy at the hotel so when we arrived at our next hotel they were greeted with bowls full of this same candy! A few days after our stay at a tourist destination 3 hours away, we ran into Sarah and she greeted us using our name! We were very impressed with this beautiful hotel and also with the staff who took such great care of my family while we were there. Highly recommend staying here!!
We just came back home from a luxurious perfect 7 day holiday in Banff! The weather was perfect and the hotel was magnificent and the 5th floor Gold Reception was above expectations! The concierges filled our days and evenings with exciting adventures to include horseback riding and Glacier Visit and wildlife excursions and Float Hoo Doo boat and Gondola rides. I especially want to celebrate Eric Sabetta who went above and beyond and was outstanding! Maxine and Keane were also above par! I would highly recommend this vacation! Best ever...
We had the pleasure of having our wedding reception at the Banff Springs Norquay room last weekend and could not have imagined a better time. The staff, Jackson and Colin, made sure all of our guests were well taken care of and wanted for nothing. The venue itself was a dream and the food was divine. I could not recommend this location more highly - it was a dream wedding!
Spent a night for our honeymoon, May 2018... Best stay ever!!! Yes, a little expensive, but well worth it! The castle's amazing and staff are the best I've ever seen! Very, very accommodating! A special thanks to JP, Rachel, Jake and Simon for making our stay extra special!!! The German restaurant was to die for! Surrounding scenery is amazing and ghost hunting was very exciting... I even had my own personal paranormal experience!!! I recommend this experience to all!!!!

I highly recommend the Fairmont Banff Springs. I personally travel every other week for work all across the states and I have to stay in hotels. I know great service when I see it. The service was super great at this resort. My expectations were met at 100%. Fairmont Banff Springs was truly an amazing experience!!!
My sister was recently married to the love of her life on April 14, 2018. Unfortunately, her new husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He had never seen the mountains and it was on his bucket list so they decided they wanted to honeymoon in Banff.
The staff at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel were beyond amazing!!! Right from the beginning they did everything in their power to make this trip an unforgettable experience for my sister and her husband. They were upgraded to a royal suite on the 9th floor with the most amazing views of the mountains and river. They brought champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in the shape of moose to their room. They brought specialty beers and snacks later in the day. They were given a private tour and provided a translator as my brother in law could not speak english.
They brought them to a VIP area which few guests get to frequent on the outside of the building in order to get the most amazing pictures over the river valley. They offered up valet parking at no charge as my brother in law needed a wheelchair at times when the cancer was aggressive.
The next day we went to Lake Louise and they called them before we left to make sure we had VIP treatment there as well.
My brother in law was so overwhelmed with his amazing treatment that he wept on several occasions. He could not stop telling everyone of his extraordinary experience.
Unfortunately, my brother in law lost his battle to cancer just two weeks after they left Banff.
My sister was so impressed with her experience there though that she and others talked of his trip and treatment at the Banff Springs Hotel in his eulogy.
I want to thank the staff for making the last days of my brother in law’s life so unforgettable. You are amazing people!
And a special thank you to JP and Rachel....your generosity of heart will not be forgotten �.
My husband treated me to dinner for my fiftieth birthday at The Chop restaurant within the Fairmont on July 4, 2018. The food was delicious, from the homemade bread, cheddar and bacon soup, filet mignon with peppercorn sauce, carrots glazed just so, and buttered mashed potatoes and a glass or two�� of Pino Noir � I was in heaven here on earth! Thank you so much. What a treat! Service was above and beyond. And because it was my birthday, they gave me a box of local chocolates. This New Yorker will never forget this special dinner. What a beautiful hotel, rich in character. �
Located at the best spot in Banff. I love and enjoy dinning at the Rundle Lounge. One of the best view on earth to me. Please come here for lunch or just a snack or drink.
Laura McRae, the manager was amazing. My daughter went to the manager with her fathers complaint and Laura calmly listened. Laura turned a bad situation into a positive experience at this truly amazing historic hotel. She made this trip our best family holiday at the most beautiful place in the world - Banff National Park
Hotel has got character - very classy. We tried the Royal Afternoon Tea and it was awesome. Beautiful view - overlooking the bow river, Banff Springs Golf course and the majestic mountains.
The sandwiches and the desserts are delicious and the choices of tea are quite extensive and all distinctly good.
One "royal" experience indeed and will definitely do it again and will also try the famous Weekend Brunch!
