Falconridge School

Falconridge School serves students from Kindergarten to grade 6. As part of the Calgary Board of Education, we enable learners to truly be "Proud To Be Me! "

Falconridge School is located in the northeast community of Falconridge. Most of our students live in the community and move on from Falconridge School to Terry Fox School for Grades 7 to 9.

Falconridge School services a large densely-populated community which is both multilinguistic and within a range of socio-economic levels. The school has a supportive staff that has demonstrated a long-term commitment to their students and the school community.

All students at Falconridge School are Learners and the staff at Falconridge is committed to academic excellence. Highly effective teacher planning and assessment help to lead the way toward the personalization of learning for all students.

Literacy and mathematics skill form foundational learning at Falconridge. In addition to this functional knowledge, students are asked to simultaneously apply new knowledge in a problem-solving context. The student inquiry process is supported thoroughly through educational and assistive technology, and through multi-faceted learning opportunities in the Learning Commons.

Our highly professional staff is the backbone of the school. Teaching and support staff members are committed to our students and work diligently toward their success. The School Administration works closely with all staff and supports our classroom teachers by building the capacities of all staff to enhance learning for students. By working in these ways we are more accurately able to assist with individual learning needs and to provide low class size ratios to enable personalized learning for students.
