Fallentimber Meadery is rapidly expanding business in the liquor manufacturing industry in Alberta. We are a vertically integrated company that manufactures and distributes mead, made from honey produced by our own apiary. We sell a variety of still meads, that are similar in presentation to wine, as well as carbonated, beer-like products which are the primary focus of our growth strategy for the coming years. Despite being an uncommon category, mead is currently one of the fastest growing segments of the alcohol industry in North America. Our company is at the forefront of this expansion in Alberta, a region rich in honey and holding incredible potential for mead production within Canada. We had a record breaking year in 2017, with our mead reaching top selling position in liquor stores all over Alberta. We plan to continue this trend and will be looking for hard working, highly motivated people to assist in solidifying the mead market and its reputation in Alberta. At our farm gate store, we sell our meads, honey, and beeswax products along with several logo items and other related merchandise. We provide tours and tastings, to educate people on mead making, beekeeping and honey production. And we offer our decks and grounds areas to customers for picnics and enjoying the outdoors during customer visits and our special events.
