Start the week off on a high note, with Margherita Mondays. Dive in to this delicious Neapolitan classic for $12, only on Mondays. Fior-di-latte, fresh basil, Grana Padano, and extra virgin olive oil on a soft but crispy crust, what could be better than a slice of that? 🍕#FamosoFresh

And we should all strive for success. Which includes enjoying the food we love the most– Neapolitan pizza obviously 😉 #FamosoLove

Superb place for pizza lovers..great service..wonderful atmosphere

User

Service was great! We had a couple of servers that came at the right times to check on us. The food was amazing and perfect! The best place to sit, when the weather nice, is right by the outside sidewalk, can watch cars and people go by.

User

I never write reviews for anything, but this location was so wonderful to us this weekend I just can't help myself! We made reservations for my friends bachelorette party and not only was the food delicious (as usual) and the service exceptional, they really went out of their way to make the bride feel special. To top it all off, later in the evening as we were running up and down Whyte doing a scavenger hunt, they allowed us to come in and the staff helped us complete several of our "tasks" THANK YOU management & staff - you are all wonderful!

User

I never went in but I just got the best pizza and the crust omg finally I just want more of that bread

User

Great local to go with friends and family! All delicious and staff wondenful!

User

First time to this place, recommended by my friend. Will be back

User

Couldn't ask for friendler staff, a better vibe, or better pizza. For serious.

User

Amazing food, great prices, fantastic service. Couldn't ask for a better place to eat pizza. Anyone who hasn't eaten here yet, really must. It is a gem!

User

Aidan was amazing I his service and the food was hot and deliscious... thanks Famoso... we'll be back for the mozzarella balls wrapped in prosciutto!

User

I love the food here, but the service can sometimes be ridiculous. This afternoon, my wife and I spent forty minutes there, after having to grab our drinks off the counter, that our server (Aiden) just left sitting there for ten minutes. We didn't get our food and watched a couple come in well after us and ready to pay before we even heard word of our food. Mind you, it was NOT busy. There were two small groups when we went in, and everyone after us got served in a timely manner. This isn't the first time I've had to leave from waiting so long either.

User

Mediocre at best. service was okay the first waitress didn't look like she even wanted to be there, pizza was soggy. Just not the greatest experience

User

You know what happens when there's no soap in the washroom? Well, let's just say it doesn't do wonders for the appetite. It doesn't help either to wait over 10 minutes for soap after bringing it to their attention... Leaves a question mark about overall sanitation...

Remember in Mighty Ducks 2 when the Ducks got to be the US national team with the addition of a few other super flawed players? Like, one was super fast but couldn't stop or play hockey and one guy who could only do stick tricks. Famoso on Whyte is like that. The service is always bad, the food is only ok and it always takes an inexplicably long time. Luckily, they make the Famoso Salad, which is one of the best salads ever. It's a good enough skill that it usually makes up for every other fault.

Tonight I went in at 8:10 and ordered a pizzetta and a famoso salad, paid for it and left, with plans to come back in 20 minutes, as they told me to. I got caught up and came back more like 25 or 30 minutes later.

A different server asked for my name, then looked at her POS like a befuddled toddler trying to draw inside the lines. She sighed, went and talked to the kitchen, came back, looked at the screen again to make sure things hadn't suddenly changed, then asked what I ordered.

Being a bit of a sleuth, I deduced that they lost my order, which would suck, but stuff happens. So I was all like "Did you lose my order?" and she said "Oh, no. I just couldn't find it for a second." changing the sound of her voice halfway through the sentence in the way people do when they realize they are lying to your face.

She went to the kitchen again and then asked what kind of pizzetta it was, as she was clearly entering the order into the POS. Then she handed me the debit machine to pay for this order that she still wouldn't admit to losing. I was told it would be a few more minutes.

I sat for another 20 minutes, wishing that I hated this salad enough to have written it off earlier.

They finally handed me the bag, whispered "sorryaboutthewait" and walked away without offering any reparations or admitting that this whole night was a big failed cover up. If this staff teamed up to burn down a house, they would take 2 hours to light the gas on fire, then fall asleep next to the house hugging jerry cans surrounded by poloroids of them burning the house.

You may be saying "Craig, dude. At least you got your delicious salad."

I didn't. I got a gross salad. It was half the size it normally is with the same outrageous price tag. It had no shredded carrot, the wrong kind of cheese, no prosciutto crisps, 4 half cherry tomatoes and the sopressata was disgustingly hand torn instead of cut up.

THAT'S CRAZY! Like, it's hard to do something that badly. Unless your whole kitchen staff quit this morning and were replaced by one puppy, there is no excuse. And at least that would have been cute.

The pizzetta might be fine. I don't know. I'm beaten down enough that I don't have the moxie to open the box. Like, will it just be a middle finger made of pizza sauce? A poo? A rock? A picture of a bunch of dummies burning a house? A picture of a puppy shredding up some sopressata? Or it could be a decent pizza. Who knows.

Anyway, would not recommend.

Probably the worst experience I've had eating pizza other than Domino's. There are other pizzerias in Edmonton. I'd recommend them any day of the week over Famoso.
