Fire Kirin (Permanently Closed)

The atmosphere is nice and the service was very good. The complimentary salad was delicious and it's a nice touch.

The calamari was on the salty side but I love salty so I thought it was great tasting. We also had the Stake Teriyaki platter but it was just OK, not the best Teriyaki we have had.

The Shanghai noodles tasted super good at first but for some reason I got tired of the taste after a few bites. Flavour just got a bit monotonous for me. Btw, the menu said it was spicy hot but this was not spicy hot at all.

I don't think they have a dessert menu but they give you a fresh orange, we liked that.

If you are real hungry you may need to order a bit more since the portions are not too big.

Been here several times over the last few years. Best Asian food in Calgary and the service is friendly and fast. If you like curry, fried stuff and chinese as well as Korean food then this is the place to go. Also, very reasonably priced....I'll be back for sure.

Tried this place for the first time last night. Ordered one of their "specials" - a cashew nut chicken dish. The flavour seemed a little off to me and the chicken was... spongy? I thought nothing of it, perhaps this is just the way they prepare it.

Turns out this is not the case. Myself and my entire family got food poisoning. I should have known the dish tasted off, but what can you do? My wife had a shrimp dish, my son shared from both of us. I'm writing this review because I was up all night violently vomiting while trying to manage a puking baby.

Avoid this place. I'll be writing to the health and safety inspections folks next.
