Five Guys

I was really disappointed with my burgers on my most recent visit here. The patties were over-cooked and all dried out, the cheese was not melted at all, and they put so much ketchup on top that I couldn’t really taste the meat or the cheese. The fries were fine. Service was actually good. But not what I would expect for food quality from a mid-tier burger joint. I dont think I can risk going back to this location and spending $15-$20 dollars, when I can’t trust the food to be good every time.

Great tasting burgers all the toppings for free you want, I don't like my fries to cooked but they will cooked them light for me. Hoice of drinks.

Usually Five Guys is amazing. Given that it's a fast food chain you would expect consistency but our experience was not consistent mainly the burger patties appeared to have been mangled during the cooking process. Other than that it was a good experience.

Decent burgers american style with Velveeta like cheese. Upbeat staff with good energy and popular music playing in background. Free peanuts in the shell to nibble on while waiting for your order. Free drink refills.

The Macleod location is central and quick to get to. The staff are friendly and orders are always completed quickly.

Five guys is life. No better burger. Always consistent. Always delicious.

So impressed with Five Guys. Super clean place with friendly, fast staff & generous portions. I mean, just look at this photo! Special thanks to Christopher for being so accommodating and cheery even when we came in like 10 mins before they were closing.

I'm known for my homemade burgers but sometimes, you need to go somewhere where you can get a burger that meets your own standards. Five Guys is that place for me. All you need is a single (Little) to feel satisfied but go for the standard (Double Patty) if you are feeling hungry. If you want fries, make sure you have a friend with you as the standard portion size is way too much for one sitting.

To bring some context, I used to be a fan of Red Robin burgers (Royal Red) and Fat Burger (Bacon & Cheese). What I've experienced over the past couple of years is that the quality of their burgers have gone down or their portion sizes are off and take away from what should be focal point, the seasoned burger.

One thing that these other restaurants do provide that, to my knowledge, 5 Guys does not provide is an egg as a topping. If they did, I would give 6 stars if I could. Something about having a hint of breakfast in my lunch just makes my day. 😉

On top of the food, the staff at this location always make you feel welcome and thankful that you stopped in. This makes the experience that much more enjoyable. Hope this review helps you find the best burger out there!!

Love these burgers and love that they're fresh (nothing frozen). Great staff and very friendly and clean.

Can't get a better grilled hot dog anywhere else. Plus, I love eating the peanuts while waiting for my food.

I love this place. Great burgers and friendly staff. I always leave here happy. There are peanuts available to snack on while you wait for your burger so if you have a peanut allergy you sadly won't be able to eat here.
Prices are reasonable and portions are generous.
