I have been trying to get some sort of Agreement going for 5 years....to date: THOUSANDS of dollars spent and not even a separation agreement done. I've asked to take this to court and was advised it would cost a lot of money .... now it is supposed to go to court. My lawyer advised almost a month ago that my documents were completed and to date she is still requesting information from me the which clearly tells me that this was not done Now it has been almost 2 weeks and I have not had a response back from her yet. I am billed for EVERY phone call and email YET I DON'T HEAR BACK. How can I be billed for something when nothing is done?!?!

I am very frustrated and have spoken to the law society .... I am not a difficult person so even the courtesy of a response would be appreciated.

At this point I don't know if I should be looking into getting a new lawyer however I do not have the funds to do this anymore as I have spent so much money already do I continue to throw good money after bad ?

I wouldn't say it is so much the firm but perhaps the lawyer who works on my file? Shop around for a good divorce lawyer - word of mouth is usually the best way to go.

I was satisfied with the efficient and competent service that I received working with Ron and his team. Although my case was not overly complicated, they dealt with the issues fairly and addressed all of my concerns.

A little background: I am a single father and I have had majority parenting time of my daughter for over 5 years. During this 5 years, there was a 2+ year “engagement” of councilors, Floor 7 and Floor 12 appearances, BCI, ect ect. I have heard, seen, and experienced almost every negative and positive application of the stereotypes of a male caring for children there is, both in and out of the court house…being a good parent, is not gender specific.

It was not until a year + into the system that I contacted Jennifer, I thought I could do it myself, but the circles and lack of any sort of traction was exhausting and it led me to seek council...I was referred to Jennifer.

Jennifer explained what was happening, and the nature of some of the things I was facing, she provided education for me, and paved a clear and concise path that allowed me to provide the best for my child.

Jennifer has the moral compass to guide us non-legal people through an emotional, confusing, and trying experience. The respect that Jennifer garners from her colleagues, opposition council, my daughter’s council, and the multiple judges was most evident.

My daughter’s well being and future is better off because of Jennifer, and for this there are no words, just gratitude.

Not a good experience. My wife was suing for divorce, she didn't want disclosure. Lawyer at this firm kept going to the disclosure route. We just wanted settlement; a desk settlement. The letter from wife's lawyer clearly stated that. Seemed like he was a poor listener, or wanted to drag it out to make more money for the firm. After the retainer was used up, I fired them. All those thousands of dollars, for, let's say, two letters that were written?
