The Friends of Royal Alberta Museum Society (FRAMS) was established in 1982. FRAMS is comprised of a volunteer board of directors and general members. FRAMS is involved in fundraising and friend-raising, acquiring artefacts to expand the museum’s collections, and providing a community in which all Albertans may engage with their museum.

Friends of Royal Alberta Museum Society’s primary role is to serve as a dynamic link between the museum and the community through the following programs:

Go! Program
Indigenous Student Museum Internship Program (ISMI)
Dining with Friends
Museum After Dark
Discovery Fund

FRAMS has assisted the Royal Alberta Museum in procuring historical, cultural and scientific artifacts of significance to Alberta, to Canada and to the world.

The Friends of Royal Alberta Museum Society (FRAMS) supported the following museum acquisitions:
