Galaxy Karaoke

We weren't sure how long we wanted to sing for and so we asked for approximately 2 hours. However, the guy working there on Nov 17th was extremely rude, acting like I'm dumb or something. First of all, it's a karaoke bar, So we don't plan on how long we're supposed to sing. Second, you work for the service industry. If you can't deal with customers, maybe you should find another job where you work by yourself. Also, you need to update your karaoke machines, it's 2017. Other karaoke bars already have computers in each room. Most importantly, your workers need to watch their attitude. Tell them to work in their basement or something if they can't deal with customers.

I realize there's online reservation in place, but I did walk-in basis and I was inquiring if i could do "an hour or so" and they said, "so one hour?" I asked if I could extend after the hour depending on my group. They replied in a way that made me feel unwelcome.

Love going to this place, the private rooms are essential in allowing me to channel my inner Britney Spears. Sometimes the microphones are dead, but that won't stop the fun. I recommend booking a room on the weekends cause it gets busy. Weekdays you usually have free reign. Only real negative is that the songs are cataloged by title not artist so you kinda have to know what you want to sing before you go. They have all the classic karaoke songs and quite a few recent songs.

Clean location, decent alcohol prices. Price isn't bad when going with a small group. Song selection is very complete for Korean songs but somewhat lacking for English and Chinese songs.

Probably the cleanest karaoke bar in Calgary. Service is quick and there are private rooms to sing in where you can fit probably 8-15 people. Reservations are recommended. It can be a little pricey, but the atmosphere and cleanliness are worth it.

It's a really nice place for karaoke, you get your own room and the music catalog is nice, BUT you need to be REALLY careful in what you order and how much it costs, I went there with a party of 7 we each had a couple of beers and some shots and our bill came out to be $680 dollars, they also tried to charge us for 16 people when we were only 8 so be careful with that

The neighbourhood was a little sketchy at first, but the place is very nice, good selection of songs and well priced drinks. Good for groups of any size

Had an enjoyable experience here with a group of friends. Staff were friendly, but occasionally unclear in their questions/responses. As North Americans, we found the karaoke song choices strangely limited, with major/iconic artists either missing or having only 1-2 songs, while other, far lesser-known artists had pages of entries. Songs considered karaoke "standards" were often missing entirely.

Rooms and facility were relatively clean. Equipment was fairly well maintained. Drinks were well priced and service quick. We had a very enjoyable time once we accepted the oddities of the experience!
