We really enjoyed our stay at the Georgetown Inn. Quaint Inn in Canmore Alberta. Thought we were in England. We liked the Pub so much that we ended up eating 3 dinners and 2 breakfasts there. Only down side was that 3rd morning when we got up no TV. Never got the problem resolved but they comped a really nice breakfast the next morning.

User

We enjoyed everything about our meal here. Service was top notch - very attentive and friendly. We ordered calamari and the scotch eggs as appetizers - DELICIOUS! Then our entrees of stuffed yorkshire puddings did not disappoint - tender beef, puffy puddings and delicious gravy made this entree a winner in our books. We were so full - happy tummys! We will definitely return on our next visit to Canmore.

User

We absolutely loved our dinner at the Georgetown Inn. The reputation for having the Best Fish and Chips in town is well-earned. The Guinness Steak Pie is also outstanding. Desserts were top-notch and the selection of local craft beers was great. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I would recommend the restaurant to everyone I know. I would go back there in a heartbeat!

User

Was awesome. Great place for families. They have a swing and play set, with kids picnic table out on the patio. They let dogs be on the other side of the patio fence and even bring them a bowl of water. Food and service was great!

User

Very “old world” feel. Wife and I loved staying at the inn and having dinner and breakfast in the pub.

User

Very charming inn with great food! This place is so amazing for a romantic get away! Awesome people, beautiful view, fireplace, Most comfortable king size bed and a spa soaking tub! Pair that with the one you love and you Couldn't be more comfortable and happy!!

User

This is our second stay. Both rooms we’ve stayed in had a beautiful in room tub or jacuzzi for two and a gas fireplace. Very romantic. Wonderfully comfortable king bed. This stay we decided to eat downstairs in the pub twice and were not disappointed, the food was amazing, though we thought the $10 caesars we drank were a little overpriced. Overall though we love the charm and comfort of this inn and will be return customers over and again.

One of our party went in the day before to make a reservation, and even though the staff she talked to was sweet, we were told they couldn't make us a lunch reservation for the following day. However, when we returned with our party of 10 (plus a baby!) the next day they had a private room set up for us! Our server was charming, flexible, and witty. He recommended me the Triple Crown Chicken Burger it was well worth it! All of our meals were incredible and delicious, served fresh and hot! The only odd thing was they charge .50 cents for hot water. I realize that's not a lot of money, and understand someone has to pay to heat it...but it is water! But this is a tiny note hardly worth mentioning because we had a fantastic day!

User

My boyfriend and I checked in here just yesterday. We stayed in the King Spa Deluxe Room, the room was clean and has a nice authentic feeling. The food is delicious, we had breakfast here before leaving and the service is amazing. Front desk is always friendly, ensuring that you will enjoy your stay and assist you on whatever you need. This is our second time here and will be back again. I definitely recommend people to come stay here.

User

Had lunch here two salads and sweet potatoe fries great food and friendly staff

User

Great service!!

The French toast had it’s own section with different variations which was awesome!!

User

Fantastic food! Some of the better fish and chips I've never had!

User

Excellent food and great pub. Well worth a visit. Good choice if you are vegetarian.

User

Enjoying my stay. The staff are kind and helpful

After a wonderful outdoor wedding ceremony in Canmore, we and our 30 guests had an amazing evening meal and reception at the Georgetown Inn. The staff and management were extremely accommodating and helpful in all of our needs.

The Catering Manager Dorian, was particularly helpful in answering all of our questions, meeting all of our needs, and making sure that the whole evening was flawless.

Special mention also goes to Guylaine at the front desk, who was very accommodating and always had a smile.

We, and the majority of our guests, also stayed at the Inn for several nights. Without exception, everyone was very happy with their rooms. We (the bride and groom) were spoiled with the bridal suite on the 3rd floor… It was perfect… always clean, tidy and comfortable.

To put it simply, we were very satisfied with both the stay and reception, not to mention the delicious meals at the restaurant in the days surrounding the wedding. We would highly recommend the Georgetown Inn as a small wedding venue; for its quaint charm, its professional staff, its excellent food and comfortable accommodations.

Georgetown Inn, we cannot thank you enough for helping to make our wedding event special, successful and fun!

User

We have been long time guests of the Georgetown......going way back when it was a family run inn. The only reason i gave it 4 stars is because of the wonderful service we had in the pub.....manager served us....he was excellent! the food and service is and always has been good....our room this time (but we upgraded) was clean and beds were to die for....biggest downfall.....the public areas are dirty......stairs had a lot of lint, garbage, and grit that had clearly been there a while....when the sun hit the floor in the pub for breakfast, it was a mess!! And showed where previously(obviously not for a while) a mop had or had not been... Pls bring this inn back to the standards of the Charming Inn it once was.....it has such character and potential!

User

We ate in the pub, portions were generous, service was relatively fast. A bit pricey but not excessively so.

User

Mum and I stayed in a Victoria suite on second floor. She loved it. I thought the public areas could use a bit more care and our carpet by the Jacuzzi could use some resolve and a shampoo from tea being spilled and left.

The decor in the room was beautiful. The painting above the table featured real bark with the oil paint surrounding it.

Bed was comfortable, but found by midnight the room became a little over toasty, would've been fixed by cracking open a window.

The restaurant staff was nice and very accommodating to my learning what beer I like. Settled on some tasty cider. Food was good though I found the pork belly was very dry. Mum had the Yorkshire pudding and it was delicious.

Noticed the house keepers didn't have or just didn't use carts and just left the towels and supplies all over the side tables and chairs and I thought that was a little undesired. Considering how many cute antiquities they had on display on the tables. Don't think those pieces would be cheap nor easy to replace.

The view out of the rooms was very nice. Breathtaking view of the mountains. There are local wild bunnies that have no issue having their pictures taken which I found adorable and entertaining.

Found the hall of movie posters of movies that had shootings in the area.

All in all a good splurge spot for sure.

User

There is no way I would ever recommend eating here for dinner it cost 70$ for two burgers and fries for one and a poutine for the other and a tiny little burger and fries for my daughter and the burgers didn't even come with cheese that woulda cost another two dollars a burger and two beer. That is way to over priced for what we got
