On behalf of the Gerrard family, I would like to personally thank a number people that made significant contributions to the success of our dispersal sale: Sarah Buchanan for taking care of the Gerrard Cattle Company Complete Dispersal Facebook page as well as her efforts as photographer & videographer; Craig "Jose" Massey for the many hours over the years clipping the cattle; Brian Bouchard, Darnell Fornwald, Chad Lorenz, & Wacey McCaw for the great job as sale management; ...Chester Tupling & Brad Buchanan for their work as sale consultants; Mark Shologan and the DLMS team; and the great professionalism of the Auction Crew, Steve Dorran, Carl Wright, Craig Flewelling & Rod McLeod.
Obviously, the sale could not have been the success it was without the support from all the buyers, bidders, & people who attended or logged on to watch. The incredible support our program got that day will be something we will always be grateful for.
The last 30 years of raising purebred Charolais have given us the opportunity to meet countless great people and make many lifelong friendships and that is what will be valued most from our time in the seed stock industry.

Sale Day is this THURSDAY! We have tried to arm you - the buyer - with as much information to make your buying decision as easy as possible. The cows in production were pictured wet so that you can assess udder quality. The videos were shot as close to sale time as possible to accurately represent what they will look like on sale day. Finally, the calves will be penned onsite with their dams so you can also analyze the production capability of the cows. Lot 65, Gerrard Rita 3C is homozygous polled. She's the cleanest made, best fronted Pastor daughter we raised or seen and her udder is ideal. Her first calf is penned beside her and weighs in at 1,305 lbs. He is the "herd bull" kind! If there was to be a cow to fly under the radar on December 14, this just might be the one.....

It is a pretty deep bred heifer pen and here is a sample from right off the top! GCC 37D is safe in calf to Persona. A herd bull we have successfully used with Soderglen Ranches. If you like this heifer, you should see her mother. Watch for the catalogue - it should be online any day now!

GCC 11C was also slapped Reserve Grand Champion Charolais Female at Farmfair last fall. This is no surprise as she is an ET daughter of SVY Starstruck 559R who has been a highly decorated Supreme Champion herself.
