I was very happy with my service here. I came here on two different occasions, once to get a tire changeover, another to get my wiper transmission replaced. With my tires, I had lost my wheel lock key, so the mechanic suggested he could replace the locking nuts with regular nuts to prevent me having to spend loads of money ordering a new one. With the wiper transmission, he told me to find a used part on my own instead of him ordering a new one for me in order to save a lot of money. I was very appreciative of the honest advice he gave me instead of convincing me to spend more money. I even asked them to take a look around my car to see if there was anything else that needed upkeep and they didn't come up with anything. Most other shops would have called me and tried to convince me that something needed to be replaced when it was perfectly fine. The labour here wasn't cheap by any means, but I'd rather pay for labour than parts.

They sure know what they are doing, and will change your tires and oil exactly as you'd hope. Unfortunately they tried to take advantage of me by telling me my brakes were totally worn out (they weren't), and that my oil was leaking (it wasn't). I am lucky I went to another mechanic to follow up. I have lost all faith in this place. Don't agree to any additional services from these folks!

Had a punctured tire, Scott took it in and had it repaired same day, Thanks for the great experience, I will be back in the future!

I'm reviewing based on the customer service on the phone alone. I called in to book a future appointment and the woman at the desk was incredible! After having numerous issues many many years (and a few owners ago) I decided to try them out. I'm certain based on families reviews and my experience on the phone alone that I will be coming back here for all car repairs and maintenance!

The staff are very attentive and helpful in addressing and finding solutions to keep cars performing at best possible. They service all 4 vehicles in our family and are easy to communicate with. Thank you for being the best garage we have worked with.

These guys are amazing! I was having issues with my 2013 dodge ram and I brought it into the shop. Scott stated they could hook it up and run a diagnostic on it. Then upon further conversation he learned that my vehicle was under 100,000 kms and most likely my issue would be covered by the dealership.
He could have hooked up my truck and taken the $130 for testing, but he was so honest. (He was right, the issue was covered under warranty).
I also had a quote from the dealership on changing my front and rear differential fluids and my transfer case fluids and it would cost 1600 for the work needed. Auto select only charges 1/3 of that amount. Great honest people that won't lead you wrong and the prices are reasonable!

I've been in twice. They are professional, courteous and helpfully. Solved my car problems for exactly the price quoted. Thank you.

I needed a brake light changed and they changed it right away at no charge!! Very impressed with level of service!!

Auto Select is a local mechanic facility that is run VERY professionally, courteous and certainly accommodating of its customers. Particularly RARE is their mechanic named Carey who is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about vintage vehicles, tuning carburetors and all the old mechanic stuff that existed before kids were taught how to plug diagnostic computers into them that explained what was going wrong.

He is THE guy to go to for vintage repairs, out of province inspections and true mechanical know-how if you want the job done right.

The mechanic's there seem decent and were pleasant to talk to with the exception of Jay, who works out front.
It looked like I was going to have to leave my truck there over the weekend (because they aren't open on weekends) so when I called to ask if it would be covered for anything damage related while parked outside of their shop I was told "there's about 6 signs outside that say we don't accept responsibility for problems that occur in our lot." His tone was a little demeaning, but fair enough. They aren't the only ones with signage of that nature and who follow the same procedure. I couldn't leave work in the middle of a Friday afternoon so I called back and asked if it could be parked in the shop over the weekend (again, because they aren't open on weekends) to be safe because they are on a very busy intersection (one of the mechanics told me that there are problems with ppl breaking into vehicles there because they are very close to a bottle depot, quote unquote) and Jay told me that " there were about 6 cars in there and he couldn't promise anything". Same demeaning tone, but again, fair enough.
I ended up racing down there and met with Jay face to face to pay the bill and pick up the list of things that were wrong with my truck and he wouldn't speak to me. Like, at ALL, except to announce the price and tell me where to sign. Then while I was reading said list before signing he asked someone to " cash this guy out while I deal with buddy" and proceeded to ditch me to sell a used vehicle to someone outside.
Now I'm not a prude by any stretch of the imagination but I also work in customer service and I like to be treated how I treat my own clients, respectfully and not as an inconvenience. I also make sure I've spent enough time with them before literally chasing after another customers money.
The fellow who "cashed me out" was super pleasant and very nice to talk with, but I couldn't shake how frustrated I felt after all my dealings with Jay.
One spoiled apple plus lack of security means I probably won't be back.
